The difference is I admit up front that I'm just as likely to be full of [!@#$%^&*], and circle back to the same point at the end. It's called an ounce of self-awareness.

I have absolutely no problem with more David/Dixie stuff so long as it's well-written, which most of their romance wasn't. But they always had great chemistry. I'm more into David and Cara, though.

You know, Bree was a lot better at flouting her supposedly professional position to start a fight with me than you are, but fortunately for us both she doesn't work here anymore. I'd rather not have to outlast you as well so how about we move back to the topic at hand, Administrator?

The show does have to make reasons for the absences of the S.O.'s.

I really do like the idea of Zach and Kendall having divorced somewhere within those 5 years just because it ups the chance that Kendall comes back with her old strong will when/if she does. They can certainly get back together at some point. I'm not at all opposed to them ever being together again.

It'll be interesting to see what they come up for Joe/Ruth, Tad/Dixie, and Zach/Kendall. Or it might not be interesting, lol.

Gosh I'd hate to see that, because this would have been the first child David knew about and loved from the very, very beginning! sad.png Perhaps a crisis with AJ or David finding a way to bring JR out of the coma brought him and Dix together in the time we didn't see, and he and Cara are estranged for now but trying their best to put up a united front for their child. I can't wait to see what happens, regardless!

    • Oh that's a good point! I was saying only that I'd prefer that the product placement not be heavily featured by the cameraperson during a stressful scene, because it takes me out of the moment. I don't mind it being part of the background of scenes -- most of the time, I like it. I saw a similar tweet from another BTG viewer that said something along the lines of Tide being for when there is (emotional) mess to clean up...  and Febreze is for the calming after the mess.
    • These writers and Frank (especially Frank) have to go!!!
    • I remember the articles and fan letters complaining about Alfonso so I wouldn't be surprised if Alfonso didn't want to talk about her time on the show. She was probably used to being the fan favorite. She got a lot of flack for being the "Ana Alicia replacement" and that hurt her from the beginning.  It's odd that CBS would think that hiring Alfonso would lure Days viewers to the show, but they kept doing that to their daytime soaps (as did NBC with ABC actors) and it rarely worked.
    • You're welcome @soapfan770

Kristian Alfonso was a popular daytime star from a show popular with a younger audience that was brought on to an aging primetime soap with the expectation that their huge daytime following would carry over. I don't think she has spoken much about her time on Falcon Crest despite being the show's new pet that became front-burner lead right away. I also don't believe she was hired on the cheap given her daytime popularity and following.  Notice how most of the former daytime actors and actresses that were on the CBS primetime soaps were from ABC or NBC. CBS had so much of their own daytime talent they could have used on their primetime soaps but for whatever reason that didn't happen and I think demographics played a part in that (CBS daytime skewing older than ABC/NBC).
    • Has anyone read Sharon Gabet's memoir? Is it worth reading?
    • Would that ad even appeal to people who watched Falcon Crest at any point? By that point, did anyone really care about the show? I remember people loathing the last season and especially hating Alfonso's character.
    • Thanks @kalbir

    • True enough, and Tony and Annabelle suffer the same problem. And the people Quint and Nola had interacted with were gone--Kelly, Morgan, Helena, Mrs Renfield---even Van's been transplanted to the Lewis enclave. Nola's curiosity could've been used somehow, but after Reva's arrival it seems like Long is obsessed with selling that woman to the audience.  As originally written--no, the Chamberlains weren't stockholders anymore. At least not to my understanding. But any story where Quint and Vanessa teamed up, realizing that Alex had played them, and found some loophole to get back in to restore Henry's legacy would've been welcome. As much as I like India--Spaulding gets weird in '85 with Alex, Phillip, India and Warren fighting amongst themselves.
