This is some tragic [!@#$%^&*]. I knew the name but I didn't really know who she was. My prayers are with her and the family.

"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"

Reading how messed up she was, Im glad she didn't take her kids out as well.

That was my thought as well. I hope she has found peace in death that she couldn't find in life.

And that was by the grace of god because it might have been a different outcome had the children been with her. She killed the dog, so my guess is that she would have killed the 2 boys as well.

Of course my first thought was, "Who in God's name kills a dog?" But I've read that sometimes people kill a pet or a loved one first in order to "seal the deal", i.e., they won't be able to live with themselves after commiting such a horrific act so they in essence force themselves into going through with the suicide.

We out here in farm country kill dogs occasionally. It's just a matter of strays being taken out to the country and dumped, then they kill chickens, etc... we have no animal control, the sherriff just tells us to shoot them. But your PET.... that's messed up. Apparently she was a very troubled woman.
