Ugh! I watch SOAPNet on Cox Communications, where I have heard it is hanging on by a thread. Hope they don't yank it by March 29.

The very first episode of General Hospital I ever watched was the day Laura killed David Hamilton in May 1978. I was hooked!

I'd love to see that episode again. :)

I think they latest they should show is Edward's death. Followed by one of the MC crisis, and one of the PC Hotel Fire crisis.

Earliest. If they can find the first episode. (It's on YT...They could convert it from there) they should show it.

I can't find the first episode--I know about that 1964 one Daytime to Remember aired.

DId GH start off as an anthology show or am I thinking of The Doctors?

I'd like anything from 63-78. All of that is available, apparently. I want to see some. All they ever had was a few bits on Daytime to Remember long ago.

GH didn't wipe their tapes? I know a lot more kinescopes are availabnle than for OLTL and AMC (etc) but...

  • Member

But their early 70s episodes are still kinescopes--not colour video, aren't they? I wonder why they kept all their kinescopes/videos--did some affiliate warehouse save them?

Cool. I'll have to see that one for sure.

I want them to play her and Mac's "Bombtasic" wedding.

But, they probably won't. And, this probably means that RC is leaning towards F&F.

They announced one of the episodes they're going to show- Frisco and Felicia's 1986 wedding.

That was a no brainer to be on the list. I hope Sean and Tiffany's makes it as well.

Soapnet is also asking for suggestions from the fans. Quick- people with Facebooks go over there and comment and suggest good episodes. I already see people suggesting Jason and Sam episodes.

ugh, well there goes that celebration. They really need to become snotty and pick a blue ribbon panel of GH alumni, soap columnists and maybe one fan to select these. Jason and Sam, their entire tenure written under Guza and Wolfe, do not have a single decent episode to their name.

I really hope the Jasammers don't ruin this. That and the mob fans. Blah.

I posted I wanna see Ryan's death and Clink/Boom.

If we end up with mostly Guza/JFP era episodes. I will bash my head into a motherfucking wall.

Only thing I really wanna see from that which I haven't before is Jesse's death. That was some sad stuff for Maxie.

Judging by the list you posted earlier in the thread, I'd be okay with you picking all the episodes. Those were all great suggestions.
