Members DRW50
Nancy had a hot tattoo artist on boyfriend named Foz. (Hollyoaks) Maybe they should hire that guy. Rakesh, I don't think I've seen you here in a while.
Members Vee
If they rehire those wailing bitches from Heroes to do the music I am really out. (Or any castmembers, really. I hated that show so much)
Members DRW50
If Adrian Pasdar wears tight jeans or suit trousers I will watch that. Otherwise, I'd tend to agree with you.
Members jfung79
They needed to have some perspective from outside soaps as well. I'm not bothered by Foz McDermott, as long as he doesn't try to control everything and impose his own vision. I think it is encouraging that he has been a writer, not just a production person, and thus might respect writers. Remember Karen Harris's background was action-adventure before she started writing for soaps.
Members marceline
Is there some reason you think that's how much it will cost? Hulu Plus is only $8/month and you get hundreds of shows, movies and even the Criterion Collection.
Members Graham
The press release contained no new info. I want to see a production start date. Then, maybe...
Members Ryan Chamberlain
Well. I'm just sayin'. I don't think it'll be that much. But, since the soaps will have to have money to keep being produced. Who knows.
Members Vee
I will add that Hulu Plus is very, very worth it. For $8 they give you more of Criterion's archives than Criterion's ever released commercially. It's possible that I'm just being too hard on Foz. And I hope this is the only time in my life I ever have to utter that particular phrase.
Members Ryan Chamberlain
I would have rather it be on Hulu Plus though. Than this new venture. Because, that way. For what I would be paying I would also be able to access other shows and movies.
Members SFK
HA! "Howard, don't you think you're being a little too hard on the Fonz?" "No Marion!"
Members VirginiaHamilton
Well, then, I guess one of you will have to hook me up because I refuse to pay to see a show - even one that I do miss dearly - on top of the monthly cable service that I already pay for. Members Ryan Chamberlain
^agreed. Even though I might pay if it's only like $5 or $10.
Members SFK
The fee, if any, would have to be nominal if they're only offering two programs at this point. If they are in fact working closely with Agnes Nixon, I wonder if they might work out a deal to offer The City as supplemental programming. I no longer have the url, but there was a site affiliated with Nixon offering Loving/The City for international syndication under the banner of her company. Members dragonflies
tristanrogers @tristanrogers Will be following with interest the new productions of AMC and OLTL. I think there's a lot riding on this.
Members John
#PP are rotating filming not airing of soaps. #AMC will film 5 weeks then #OLTL will film 5 weeks and then repeat until both soaps produce 168 episodes. Those 168 episodes will air M-Thurs for 42 weeks at a 30min length. Every Friday for those 42 weeks PP will air a recap of OLTL & AMC Im thinking each week the soaps will film 8-10 episodes and at the end of each 5 weeks have 40-50 episodes to air So filming of OLTL wouldn't begin until March-April. And that's why the AMC-ers are being lined up first.
