HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

How old is Jordan Lane Price? I

Don't quote me on this, as I could be wrong, but I think she's 22.

Agreed. I also hate it when people say that they hope a show gets cancelled. It's very simple. Don't watch.

It's not surprising about Ray. He's 84 and I think wants to be mainly retired. I would like to see more of Lee as Ruth, though. She still does some traveling around for cons and such.

I wonder what role he will have if Tad and Jake are not on the show. I hope Joe Martin is not still a practicing doctor at his age (and with the time jump) lol.

People do realize that people joining/signing doesn't mean they will all appear in the first episode, right? Heck, it's possible some won't appear until after the first few weeks/months.

Not sure what prompted this comment, Errol, but I would actually prefer it if some of these guest appearances are later on so it's not just all packed at the beginning and then the familiars disappear. So this is good.

I do think people expect Erica and Bianca to at least share a scene though, and that's not unreasonable.

Also though, I don't think it would make sense for people who have joined full-time not to appear until several weeks or months down the line, unless they were signed at the last miute. A balanced cast wouldn't have people not showing up for months.

Aww. Jill is so cute showing off the wardrobe. It's gotta be nice to have a brand new studio also. Her happiness is awesome.

I also love that so many familiar crew members returned. I was hoping they'd get as many back as they could.

It's really really nice to see a company that respects and wants the soaps around. It really is. Bad mistakes aside, LOL, and future mistakes aside.

I'm very happy that they got back so many crew members and directors. ITA, it's great to see a company that respects the soaps and their fans!

With the 1/2-hour format, it would be difficult to squeeze every cast member into each episode. I just want a variety of storylines instead of 1 or 2 revolving around the same 3 or 4 characters like we got during the Frons years of AMC. And if you've heard Ryan, Greenlee and Kendall are imminently returning, please don't tell me!

I have to give Walt Willey major kudos for being such a class act about this whole AMC reboot. The poor man is constantly asked on his FB page if he's going to be on AMC again, and he has to say over and over again that no, he has not been contacted, but that he's definitely interested in it if the opportunity is made available. I think it's wonderful that he's so publicly supportive of a project he's not even on.

Personally I could support Jack coming back as long as he's given something to do OTHER than be Mr. Erica Kane.

Lol. I personally never assumed we would see them all at the same time. But some probably have/will so it was worth noting. I even think some could just be "flashbacks".

I'm hoping we can move this discussion to the NOW IN PRODUCTION thread early Monday morning. While I don't necessarily plan on closing this thread at that time, I hope the majority of the discussion will continue there.
