EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

I'm fine with ME staying and reprising Caleb; however RH & KA can leave if they aren't Starr and Todd. It would be too jarring for fans. IDK why PP can't go on w/o these characters. There are forty years worth of characters in OLTL history. Find some other characters and use them.

Well, that would fly in the face of some of the OLTLers - including Erika Slezak - who believe they're not filming until sometime in March. As well as the previous studio claim.

The physical location is there. They just need to put up sets, place cameras, etc. Considering they can take down sets overnight...pretty much.

Oh, sure, I know that. But Caleb is the villain of the PC story, and has apparently killed Alison - that's a short-term character, IMO.

My guess with the production part is that perhaps pre-production may begin on February 25th, with scenes actually being taped sometime in March.

Isn't late February the expiration date on those rights?

Again, I'll believe when the actors start taping episodes. This could still be another swindle.

Why can't GH go on without these OLTL characters? There are 50 years worth of characters in GH history. Find some other characters and use them.

I think this must be some kind of gingerbread studio.
