HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

So hulu?? I might give OLTL a try for one month and see if I like it. How much is their fee??

I have an issue with the use of the term "confirm" without mentioning the source because of ESPN. This isn't anything against you Errol. Too many times they've "confirmed" a story that was already broken by another media outlet and instead of noting the outlet they say it was confirmed by someone that is employed by their network. ESPN tries to act like there is no other competition out there, like Yahoo Sports Radio. Other outlets (sites) are quoted on some of your stories, but people are acting as if you never give credit to anyone else who shares soap scoop.

Damn. Though they have claimed they may have it on a few different sites--Hulu has a pay option so maybe they want to show it commercial free there, and will use some other system (with commercials--and Canadian viewers hopefully) on theonlinenetwork or whatever.

Eric, I will keep you updated on my efforts to crack into Hulu! tongue.png There is a program you can buy for 30 bucks that gives you an untraceable IP address and allows international viewers access to Hulu. I am not sure what the legalities are or if there are penalties if you are caught using it. I'll PM you the info as I gather it. I'm not going to jail for One Life To Live, though it would be very difficult to know it's out there and I can't see it. But maybe you are correct in your hopes that PP will find a way for Canadians to see it. Is there any way to contact them to ask?

If it is hulu only I could just use a camcorder and recorder the Hulu airing and post it on YT!!!!!

Eric and I (and the other Canadians here) might just have to take you up on that! tongue.png

I bet they'll be on Hulu Plus, commercial free but you have to pay. And for free with commercials on TOLN.

Hulu Plus isn't commercial free, specifically for current episodes compared to older one's.

I checked and it's $7.99 a month.

You are correct Errol....I just checked on that!

Hulu Plus is worth it. If only for the vast Criterion Collection.

Oh dear God. I hope not.

I guess I have to get my cam-corder to persevere those clips...lol!

Agreed. Other than CBS, I watch every current show I like via Hulu Plus. I definitely watch on my PS3, XBOX, iPad and iPhone (heck, sometimes my Android). Couldn't go a day without watching an episode of a show I missed.

I'm pissed that Ghost in the Shell is only on there in English dubs, though. (And the soaps not viewable on the TV/PS3) Oh, well.
