EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

And I think PP, believing that these characters can bring a sizable number of eyeballs to the OLTL reboot, will play hardball with ABCD, who will be forced to relinquish them. Whatever story plans Ronnie might have had for them at GH will have to be dropped, the characters will transition to OLTL 2.0, maybe they'll be as successful and maybe not (that is, if the damn show ever premieres), and when it looks as if they might be available again for GH, either GH itself will have moved on, or they'll be cancelled, leaving RH, KA and ME screwed as !@#$%^&*].

But that is only what I think.

The only way I could see ABC playing it, is to agree to let Prospect Park use the characters in guest spots, but allowing them to remain on GH. Of course we know PP wants them full-time (regardless of what they may say about temporarily "borrowing" them), so I wouldn't risk them being off screen on GH, if they plan on keeping them viable. ABC should threaten (since they're on contract) to create new characters for the actors. Although Prospect Park wants these characters, you simply can't recast Todd at this point, or John honestly. It would defeat the whole purpose.

The actors should only agree if they're allowed to stay on GH and make guest spots, IF they want. I resent the fact that PP is doing this in a way they may lose their job. It's basically threatening them into signing on. Honestly, the show doesn't even NEED these three. This is a half hour show. Blair has other kids and has moved on from Todd. They have a ton of different characters and families to focus on.

Speaking of Blair, I have a feeling they may be 'resting' her if they can't get Todd. I feel like her tweets have been negative as a whole lately and if she'd been talked to, I feel like if she wouldn't have already told us, she'd at least be somewhat more chipper

I don't get a negative vibe from Kassie DePaiva's twitter. On the 17th she tweeted,

That doesn't seem negative to me. Also she was happy about meeting up with Robin Strasser.

The only thing she's negative about is GH having Todd move on from Blair.

I don't see them forcing the actors, cause I doubt they're going to want actors who are pissed off and not happy to be there and it shows in their work.

They don't see Todd, Starr or John at all, not even long term if they did appear at any point.

Well, nobody - ABC or PP - can force ME, KA and RH to appear on iOLTL.

Nope. I really don't need them to appear either. I just don't see how Starr or John can pull in the viewers. LOL. I think they should have just left it all alone and asked if they could make appearances or something. It seems so ridiculous that this "power struggle" is going on over these characters.

Maybe OLTL wants to wrap up the two Todd's story & thats why they want Starr & Todd. Maybe John & Natalie will work out custody agreement

The daily rate minimums for broadcast Daytime Serials thru @AFTRA that are in effect until the current contract ends in 2014.

#SAGAFTRA & #PP came to terms on a contract for #TOLN's #AMC & #OLTL. Spec is that the these minimum daily rates will mirror those of a 30 min daily serial on broadcast televiion.

The first number is the rate as of Nov 2012 & the second is what the rate will be in Nov 2013
