Members EnglishTea
I think Marlene McP is one of the two, but PP isn't releasing the statement until they had the CO-HW signed.
Members alexisfan07
Errol, is it one writer or two? Any news on OLTL coming soon?
Members Adam
I never watched Days under her, nor have I watched Days much in general over the years, so I will reserve total judgement on her until I see her writing on AMC 2.0 (if she is indeed on board). I hope the co-hw though has at least some history working on AMC or with Agnes in some capacity. Addie Walsh would be my #1 choice if I could pick. Jeff Beldner would be my ultimate choice, but sadly I don't see him leaving Y&R for an online upstart. Jeff I think always should have been given the reigns at AMC after McTavish departed. He couldn't have done any worse than B&E, Pratt and David and Donna.
Members EnglishTea
I think I would be fine with Marlene McP because I truly believe it was network and Corday interference that shot down some of the stories involving veterans on Days. I would totally dig Addie Walsh or Hal Corley, but would also love Richard Culliton. As long as it isn't McTavish, Pratt or Guza, I would be willing to give the writers a chance. Members skiman12082004
This is very exciting news....Thanks Errol! I hope some of the casting news includes Susan Lucci :-)
Members Chris B
Considering its only like 170 episodes and they're half hour, I still stand by my desire to have 2-4 total writers for each soap. Thays very possible, but requires real talent since the HWs would have to write scripts and do breakdowns. The best soaps from 50s-70s had small teams and thats when they were good. Plus its cheaper. Didnt Edge of Night have a total of two writera for many years? And I know Bill Bell was with Kay Alden for many years. Ryan's Hope is another example and these are shows that hold up today. Members Khan
That sounds promising. That doesn't. Yeah, didn't Dena Higley say ONE LIFE TO LIVE was hers? And we all know how much she loved that show, too, now don't we? Great. It's out there. Thanks, dragonflies. #damn
Members Khan
I have an idea who might be the new HW. However, if I'm wrong, I'll look incredibly stupid; and if I'm not wrong, depending on who you are, you might not be satisfied. And...well...I think you should have one happy weekend in your life, ya know? Before the proverbial [!@#$%^&*] hits the proverbial fan? So I'm not gonna say who I think it is. I will say this much: there are awards other than the Daytime Emmys.
Members jfung79
As long as Errol is pleased, I'm pretty sure it can't be someone almost everyone agrees sucks like Jean Passanante or Bob Guza, so I am not that worried.

Members Khan
Oh, Lord, Errol. You have no idea what you're opening up yourself to. No idea at all. SMH.
Members Adam
Lynn Marie Latham She apparently was considered when Pratt was hired.
Members Khan
Nope. And don't think I'm not sharing because I don't know. I mean, I don't know for sure -- and for the sake of certain individuals here, I don't want to put it out there either. Judging especially from Errol's unofficial seal of approval, though, I have a pretty good idea who the someone is. How do I, Khan, feel about it? Well, we'll see. If it's who I think it is: some will be okay with it, others will be "okay" with it (as in, "Ehhh, gee, I don't know, but maybe this might turn out well in the end?"), and still others are just gonna [!@#$%^&*] hate it. Members Vee
I can't remember - did they bother to make the Racina/Horgan announcement themselves? Or was it Casual Monday-Friday?
