Oh man, for a second, I thought she'd died in some freak hoodrat accident! TVone usually does some good specials for UnSung and Life After, so I'ma have to check this out!

Skimming through, this is probably gonna be extremely good. I don't think I've ever seen her outside of her New York persona, so it'll be interesting to see her as an actual person.

I swear, just like AMS, whenever I only see the name at the start of a thread title, I think that person has died.

Chick, stop LYING, you know good and well you were not already attracted to no damn Flav.

And I love how these talking heads are all "experts" on this girl like she's Jacqueline Onassis and they've read all of her biographies.

I just watched like five Life Afters back-to-back. I love the Internet. BTW, AMS, when I was watching the one on Dionne (aka "our slurry-voiced mistress of ceremonies"), I was totally thinking of you! laugh.png

Meanwhile, did y'all know that Thelma off of Good Times, Bern Nadette Stanis, was at Juilliard in the same company as William Hurt, Mandy Patinkin, and Janet Zarish?

CAMILLE WINBUSH?! New York is by all means quite a stretch, yes, but damn, if I were Camille, I'd feel offended by this network contacting me about life "after" my career.

It's the combo of the person's name with their claim to fame in parenthesis that gives me the "Oh lawd, she/he done died..." chills.

And YES! They're almost setting it up like she's a legendary soul/R&B singer, what with the "Tiffany grew up in the church" stuff at the beginning. Flo Anthony laugh.png

*dead* at that call-back to Whitney's homegoing laugh.png Good times, indeed!

I love me some Thelma/Bern, but I honestly thought they'd plucked her off the street for GT. Girlfriend was GREEN in the early episodes and then melodramatic for the rest of the run. That's a lady who should have been on a soap at some point. Angie and/or Jesse could have had a sister!

I wish someone would do a Where are They Now? internet article/gallery on various Flav girls. I mean, I know most of them have become porn stars, but I'm very invested in knowing what's become of "Ima roll wit" Hoopz and "Iz tyme ta git" Buckwild.
