The really need to scrap that entire opening. It's the cheapest thing on daytime television.

If the people preened instead of being static photos, I would actually like it.

That was some damn good soap! best episode of any soap in years.

That's what AMC should have done when James Mitchell passed

I loved when Dixie greeted Palmer.

Life isn't fair and neat and children don't always die after their parents, but I do wish Alan were still living. Even so, Tracy being "alone" now was especially poignant and reminded me of how my great-grandmother and aunt felt when they were in the same positions. You may have children and grandchildren, but there's nothing like losing your immediate family that you grew up with.

May be an unpopular opinion but I think its best to leave well enough alone with Alan.

Loved the episode though (wish more Q's could have come) and can't wait to see what is in Edward's will.

Any guesses on the secret? I'm all for a hitherto unknown Quartermaine under the condition that he/she is played by a spectacular unemployed soap legend. :P I'm wondering if it's more ELQ-related though, like leaving the majority of the business to someone like Michael? The way Heather was gloating though, it sounds juicier than that.

If you look closely at the will, he left to 12% of his ELQ shares to each of his grandchildren, 6% of his ELQ shares to each of his great-grandchildren, 5% of his ELQ shares to Monica, and 5% of his ELQ shares to Alice.

Same. I miss Alan Quartermaine (and Stuart Damon) tons, but I really think soaps need to retire the back-from-the-dead plot device.

Any guesses on the secret?

Call me crazy -- because you know you do already -- but I think Heather knows that A.J. is actually Rick Webber's son, and that it was Edward who arranged all the tests (for the Bombay Phenotype Syndrome?) to make the results say otherwise.

I was thinking and hope I'm wrong that he left all of it to Sam's kid, I hope not
