Members KMan101
Just watched the episode on my DVR. I'm absolutely shocked at how much Carlivati is impressing me right now. I was becoming very blah about him but he's starting to win me back over. I love Monica's involvement. If Frons/Phelps were still around, AJ would be written the same way as before, no matter who is playing him and Monica probably would have showed up once maybe twice a month to berate AJ for faking his death and being horrible even 'in death'. It would have been a travesty. I'm so glad Monica's being a mother to AJ, regardless of why. It's just so nice. I really hope Carlivati keeps up the decent writing for AJ. And kudos to the face mask. I honestly didn't see that aspect coming. I figured Duke was an imposter. I wonder if he's really alive? I kinda figured if it did turn out to be Duke (which I wasn't sure of), he would do what he did today and be Robin's savior to win Anna back completely. Though of course if the characters were smart, his story could have fallen apart fast. It still could. I just like feeling invested in a soap again. Y&R can't hold me again yet. Days is really really losing me by being so freaking boring and focusing on the same few people day in and day out. So, I happily take back, FOR NOW, my gripes. I'm happy with the sudden surge GH has been having. I'm very impressed.

Members Vee
I would laugh my ass off if behind the mask was...Trevor St. John. Say what you will about Two Todds, nobody wore a latex mask.

Members DRW50
They did wear a Spiderman mask though. (and Spiderman would probably entertain me more than Faison anyway)

Members DRW50
The weird part is Faison actually did use doubles. So they could say it's Faison, oh wait, it's not. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iRTVdcNJXo&feature=channel&list=UL
Members Vee
It's funny because I'm pretty sure Anders Hove actually has a very prestigious career in Danish film and television again these days. When he came back to GH at the end of the '90s I knew him only for the horrific direct-to-video Subspecies films and assumed he couldn't get work anywhere else. Since then he's done a lot of work with the Dogme 95 film collective which includes Lars von Trier, and was in the original, much-acclaimed Danish version of the series The Killing. Kind of surprised he's back at all (if he is, but come on, it's him). I do remember he used to seem to have the same personality as his character - was very eccentric and pissed off in virtually any PR notice, always ripping on the show. Members DRW50
I think this might be like Mitch's 2009 return which was delayed for almost a year until they could get Born. The last time Hove came back he made it clear he was *not* happy with what GH had become backstage (because of a smoking ban, among other things) and was only happy to get to work with Tony Geary again. But GH has changed a lot since then, so who knows.
Members Vee
Well, originally Mitch was to appear as a dead man on videotape in 2008, yes. But I think they probably have AH locked down. I've been hearing about him being tied to this story since spring. And of course my first guess re: Robin's "death" was Faison.
