BB: Actress OUT!

From TVGuide's Soaps News:

Lesli Kay is a treasure and I hope that the powers that be at ATWT are smart enought to take this wonderfully talented actress back into the fold.

I'm sure Lesli Kay's farewell episode on BB as Felicia will be a real tissue-soaker!

I have enjoyed LK's Felicia immensely ... I just never cared for LK as Lois on GH (the only show I saw her in). IMO and storywise Felicia does have to die. To have her do otherwise would be incredible and too unrealistic since we've been told her colon cancer has spread to her liver and stomach ... no one survives that prognosis. The story is a good one and well-written and LK has hit her scenes out of the ballpark with SF, JW, and JMc. Felicia before was never that prominent or important of a character and her last appearance (with the original actress) fell flat. At least she's going out in style.

Don't watch B&B and don't see why anyone does, with idiotic moves like this. They lure big name actors and actresses to the show and then axe within a year. ATWT should grab Lesli Kay back, or maybe another show, like DAYS or OLTL would grab her. She'd be a good Cassie re-cast on OLTL.

Lesli Kay has been great on this show but I dont think she's all that that Id want to see ehr play recast to some of my favorite characters. I was never fond of her (hated her on ATWT and GH) but LOVED her here on B&B. Its a shame they are getting rid of her bc she has been a breath of fresh air

Leslie Kay is a phenominal talent and GH should be ashamed of how they treated her. I think she did well as Lois, but she would have been better as a new character (perhaps Lorenzo's lost love Sophie). B&B did a good job with her. They needed a powerhouse to handle the role and she's done it to perfection. I think she would be a great addition to OLTL as Cassie or AMC as either a recast of a character or a new one. Wouldn't it be great if she could be nominated for an Emmy for her role? I don't think she was, but it would be great if she could. I think the Daytime Emmy's should add a new category for short-term roles (like how Sharon Stone & William Shatner won an Emmy for their work on the Practice).

    • It does, and I don't get it. This feels like Josh Griffith's middle finger to fans. They're end game, right? That's how most people feel. So what reason could there be to keep them apart? Are we supposed to wait until Y&R is canceled and then see them reunite in the last month? Joshua Morrow and Sharon Case have FIRE chemistry with each other -- and they strain to have any chemistry at all with anyone else. Isn't that obvious by now? I can't explain it, but we've all seen it. A decent writer could give us Shick AND good stories with them.
    • Ben Collins, CEO of the company that owns The Onion, says they don't use A.I.
    • As long as Kent and Griffith are in charge, the show is doomed.
    • To clarify, they didn't really date.  They pretended to be on a date once or twice due to a an interest in fooling someone else at the event/restaurant/whatever.  It wasn't planned by them to be real.   I think one of them became sort of interested at some point ?
    • A shame the Ben/Thomasina tease didn't go anywhere.  I didn't know until last year that they brought Thomasina back a few days before Quinn was murdered. I guess it's nice that they got those last moments of happiness but then you remember they never would have brought her back if they weren't going to kill Quinn off.
    • Very. It's VERY annoying, too.
    • I just remember Kristina coming on to her slightly and val freaking out
    • Not trying to be a contrarian, but I don't think the show needs a rival family.  Rival families have been over-done on soaps since the 1980s. And it might make the show too predictable.  I'd prefer they beef-up the have-not group with perhaps a couple of workers from the Country Club and one or two Dupree servants, joining the existing group of have-nots.  They could all know one another without being a real "family."  That would give the audience more opportunity to see Fairmont Crest life from the "backstairs."  To me this would be a far more interesting perspective than another wealthy family to rival the Duprees.
    • I wonder if that's why Valerie quit. I think some of the magazines at the time implied issues with Valerie and the producer, although I may be wrong. Painting Diana as going bad would have made more sense to me near the end of her run.
    • Carter & Thomasina were also stuck with a baby almost immediately and didn't get much to do after they finished high school. Carter's father was killed off and Marley drifted out of their friend group because of Jake. They left town after Carter's father died (of tomb dust!) and before Quinn died (unreasonably murdered by the Sin Stalker for dating Zack Edwards).
