September 19, 201213 yr Member The Lindsay one is just trashy and like someone's slutty schoolgirl fantasy. This is the best I've ever seen KS look. Did no one have time to press RH's dress, or fit it? The dress(Lindsey's) didn't look as bad on the show as it does in these cheap looking promo pics. I really don't like that cheap looking dress on KSu. Ugh NLG needs to dye and trim her horrible hair. Hate Finola's hair so much! Edited September 19, 201213 yr by frequentsoapfan
September 19, 201213 yr Member LOL @ the outrage over the cheapness of the wardrobe in those promo pics, as if GH ever had a Sex and the City/Gossip Girl-caliber wardrobe budget. Edited September 19, 201213 yr by VirginiaHamilton
September 19, 201213 yr Member Please tell me this man did not pose with his hand on the back of his hip like his female co-stars did. He looks like he's playing a deadly serious round of the Hokey-Pokey.

I'm not sure it's "outrage." We're not calling for protests on ABC. I'm sure people were hooting at promo photos in 1987 just like we're doing now.

I'd say it is outrage - hilarious, at that - as daytime soaps have never been known for having a top-notch wardrobe budget. Yet, folks are now clutching their pearls in disdain over the bargain basement wardrobe? Typical.

Absolutely horrible!
September 19, 201213 yr Member People have always clutched their pearls over bad wardrobe. For as long as I've been on message boards I've seen hooting and hollering over bad clothes. I guess I could say, "I'm so glad they have the money to afford any clothes, God bless General Hospital, ABC, Ron Carlivati, and Frank Valentini," but it's not very much fun.

The sad part is most of those clothes are designer stuff you can find at boutiques so they're paying $100+ just an ugly outfit.I can put together a better outfit shopping at Ross or TJMaxx than this wardrobe department does. They just throw designer duds at people and think it will work and look good.
September 19, 201213 yr Member And yet, it's so much more fun to point out the neverending hypocrisy of SON - all while watching an improved version of General Hospital.

I guess if I was complimenting the wardrobe when JFP was around, I would feel like a hypocrite, but I don't think I was. If I did, I apologize.

And it's hardly been on just soaps. Snarking about wardrobe on TV shows is just a part of watching. If one leaves the soap bubble and goes to...oh say...any other board on the net, people bitch about wardrobe and hair. Julianna Margulies' bangs on The Good Wife (which they have thankfully gotten rid of), Debra Messing's scarves on SMASH, Chris Colfer's EVERYTHING on Glee. I'll never understand the mindset that stuff that is just normal for other TV shows is somehow wrong to do to soaps. Edited September 19, 201213 yr by marceline
September 19, 201213 yr Member The GH wardrobe is a heck of a lot nicer than the wardrobe OLTL had. A lot of those actors looked like they rolled out of bed, got dressed in whatever they felt like, went to the studio, walked straight by Wardrobe & filmed.

Oh shut up with this crap aout this being an improved version of GH. it's not it the same old crap; different day, different writers, extra characters! I judge wardrobe on every show I watch even when I'm watching Disney with my cousin's 5 year old.

I think it was supposed to be sexier and a throwback to the sultry movie star styles of the 1940's. It was awful.
