For a minute there, I thought DAYS was going to resurrect Elvis Presley and move him into Salem. :(

Well Elvis *is* Susan's baby daddy :)

There's still some unfinished business with Stefano and his exit was horrible. Since the show is probably ending in the next year or two I think it would be nice if he was there until the end.

You know what would be REALLY nice? If DAYS were to give JM a story that didn't involve any of that world-dominating craziness that we've come to expect from "the Phoenix." Instead, give us something good and relatable...like alcoholism.

After 30 years of world-dominating craziness, who'd really want to see The Phoenix battling something that's slice-of-life? Diabetes? Snooze. Alcoholism? Eh... you know he'd just end up locked up in some secret room by one of his enemies during a drunken stupor. Despite DAYS' piss-poor budget, I just can't (and actually, don't want to) fathom a relatable Stefano. If I step into his home, I fully expect his remote control to control a person's mood, not a TV. :)

"Joe Mascolo, who returns to Days on August 22nd, says it was always the plan for him to come back to the show."

Nice to see Joe corroborate what I said a few months ago! So much for the "insider" who said M&D killed him off for real.

Alcoholism for Stefano? No thanks, man. This Stefano Dimera fan wants him to always be a larger than life character and doesn't want to see him in "relatable" storylines. Give me world domination, and power hungry badass. I don't want to see Stefano in such a weak way. I already dislike people saying, "Stefano, did you drink your orange juice yet?" Come on. :)

I figured that Ian Buchannan's character was keeping him hostage somewhere. That's probably what the "TA-DA" was that he revealed to EJ in the daytime promotion.

See, now that would be a good way to put a DAYS twist on a very true-to-life subject. I'm just saying.

I'm happy. I had no interest in Chad being the lone DiMera.

Ugh. I hope to god they fix that.

Aside from the Rafe 2 crap last year, they really haven't done any world-dominating craziness with Stefano in recent years. He's mostly just been a sounding board to EJ, or happy husband with Kate and Nono with Giovanni. MarDar were bad but during the Alamania story I saw glimpses of the old Stefano.
