That were bashing her mother directly to her...

Oh, I didn't know that part. I just thought she was reading comments about her in general on twitter. If people were saying things about JFP to CP, then that's a different story.

Wow, I was not expecting such a huge shakeup @ Y&R. Do you think maybe CBS/Sony are making these changes in order to coincide the end with the 40th anniversary in March?

Why would they make all these changes backstage only to cancel the show in 8 months?

Its still the highest rated soap, not sure how its doing in the demos, but it still has to be profitable. I don't see why they would cancel it.

Well.. she may be able to cut the budget. If you could get rid of Braeden (Victor's final storyline should be one in which he LOSES). And since Eileen is already gone, you could get Brenda Epperson back for much less $. You could also just drop Jill to a recurring character, and bring Brenda back to play her, again for less money. If JFP is really shallow about "pretty" actors, I'm scared that she won't use Beth Maitland as much, and she and Tricia CAst are the best actresses this show has.

I personally wouldn't mind if James Franco comes to this show, I think he's cute.

Nelson Branco threw out another tidbit...Sally Sussman Morina may be back on the writing staff....

That's REALLY good news. If we lose Hogan and Gain Sally... I would see if Jim Houghton would write again.

I wonder how Lee Bell feels about all this and how much pull, if any she has with Sony.

I'd love it if she orchestrated this.

Carolyn Hinsey tweets:

Wishing Maria Bell all the best after #Y&R. We may not have loved it all, but her vets SHINED. Shameful the way Sony let her go. #notcool

then Kristoff St John responds :

@CarolynHinsey some of her vets shined.

Carolyn responds:

Fair enough. But compare Y&R to B&B, the Hope/Liam/Steffy show. At least vets work on Y&R!

Kristoff responds

:@CarolynHinseyI will give you that. At least I didn't go over the cliff looking for Drucilla.
