I originally thought that they were going to say that Connie was abused by an Uncle or something and that was the reason she hated her family and her old life of Connie. I thought they were going to imply that her family just let those things happen to her which is why she completely ignored her old life as Connie and created the identity of Kate Howard. That would make more sense then whats on screen right now. I always thought that some of the tension between Kate/Connie and Olivia would make more sense then. The current story has never made sense and as of now there has been very little reasoning for why Connie is manifesting in this way.

Plenty of people have been raped too and don't develop alternate personalities. Constant trauma and a consistant basis would traumatize you enough to develop various disorders. Not one time things. Please that's a lame excuse I know more than one rape survivor.

Exactly they have no plans laid out for this story. I don't see how anyone can defend this poorly written dreck.

It's a mess for sure and should have ended when Jason found her and took her to get help. Bringing on new alters and delving into her backstory is just asking for trouble. I definetly see this long lost kid, if she actually gave birth driving this story for the next few months. I see a repeat of the Rex drama from the mother angle and I wonder how many retcon kids of Connie we will get along the way

Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if Ron tells us Kate/Connie is actually Mikkos Cassadine's long-lost daughter, and that Helena brainwashed her with this ridiculous alter ego in order to get revenge on her late husband and his "Bensonhurst broad."

Exactly it's an insult. I know someone who got raped as a child by her father. Yes it was tramatic but her psyche didn't split and she's one of the happiest, upbeat people I know who lives life to the fullest.
