RC really needs to cut it with these stupid fakeouts. Its reminding me of when Passions did it all the time

I agree. It's to the point where I'm not only anticipating them, I'm calling them right on the money. When that happens, when the audience can spot a fakeout from a mile away, it's time to get a new device.

Matt can kill Lisa and he did. The difference is he has a conscience. He was free and about to get off on this but he decided to turn hmiself in. Jason would never take responsiblity for the awful things he does like that

Sadly I think that having a conscience probably means we're supposed to see a man as weak.

I watched an eppy last week and the preview showed Johnny telling Carly the truth. I immediately thought of Trassions. Its beyond ridiculous!

Sadly I think that having a conscience probably means we're supposed to see a man as weak.

...Why? How could any viewer be "supposed" to do something? If someone sees it as weak, then they see it as weak. If they don't, they don't. I feel like people tend to try and put it on writers of what they're "trying" to sway the audience to do. Maybe that is true sometimes, but what I love about television is that it's all in the eye of the beholder...no one is pushing you to feel anything that you didn't feel on your own.

I must add Heather to my list of psychos I love. She is beyond hilarious and RM is awesome in this role. I have also really been liking these Sam scenes!

Wow. This show is spectacular. Even when Sam's baby dies it still manages to be all about Jason and Todd's guilt. blink.png Sam's monologue to her dead child is basically only there to provide man tears for Jason and Todd, unbelievable. I assume that's what Jason's blank constipated stare was for when Sam told him "John left her and never came back." Wonder what happened there. rolleyes.gif

Can Heather off Olivia please? She is beyond useless

Ugh. They actually had her comforting heartbroken Spinelli on Thursday. The scenes were alright but all I was thinking was...when have these two ever talked? LOL.

LMAO RC loves his insta-friendships that come out of nowhere, like on OLTL when Kelly and Joey were all of a sudden biffies with Shaun and Vivian

Ideally, I would agree with you, but not on today's soaps. They are all about trying to con a viewer. For instance, we're supposed to see Spinelli as righteous and noble, hence we have multiple characters tell us that. Why should I see him as noble when he nearly killed Maxie, when he gleefully worked to have Dante killed, etc.? I don't know. But that's the message the show wants us to hear.

Our saviors are about as subtle as Bozo the Clown.

I see what you mean. I guess it doesn't bother me that much because that same concept is there in real life. I have seen plenty of people saying things or presenting themselves in a way because I knew they wanted me or others to feel a certain way about them. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. For example, I absolutely loathe Jason after what he did this week to John and inadvertently Sam and no amount of his sluking will make me feel at ALL sorry for him. I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles!

I didn't even realize until this morning that I haven't watched Thursday's episode yet... and I don't feel compelled to do so. I didn't even watch last Friday's until Monday morning.

and there proves my point....

There was no point to prove in the first place.

...no one is pushing you to feel anything that you didn't feel on your own.

Essentially.

On another note, Ron had better stick to his original characterization of McBain as the guy that rarely loses because I've had it up to here with him taking a back seat to the roided goiter and his Moobster boss. While I am indifferent to his character in general, I will be the first to cheer if he supplants those two sacks of shít on this show.

As for Todd, I'm mad that he's involving himself in this nonsense for someone that isn't even worth it. I'd get the whole baby-switch mess if he were doing it for Shorty, Blair, or even Messica, but Hater Yellgado? The same greedy shrew that muscled her way into his family and assumed a place in trying to edge him out of it? Man, please.

That's true, but when a show is full of these types of characters, it isn't a lot of fun to watch. No amount of slanted writing makes me care about Spinelli, Jason, McBain, Sonny, Luke - these are deadbeats, thugs, and men who live to destroy women. Yet years and years and years have been spent telling us how noble they are and how we should love them.

Considering that his feud with Sonny is baseless and he and Jason are the same character, I doubt it will happen.

But there was one. Did you watch the episode or just read the transcripts or something, because Tea was joking when she said that to Todd. You were acting like she said that in a malicious way to him when she totally didn't.

Under the old regime, for sure, but this regime seems to understand violence isn't a hallmark.
