I don't think the Star Wars Prequel movies were as bad as everyone makes them out to be. Are they as good at the original trilogy? No but I was entertained and mostly enjoyed them (even if Hayden Christensen was a bad choice to play Anakin). And I'm not on board with George Lucas hate from many of the fans, it's his franchise, he created it and owns it. If he want's to "run into the ground" as many perceive he's doing, than that's his prerogative.

I think that the theatrical version of "Superman II" (credited to Richard Lester, though it was really directed by both Lester and Richard Donner) is far superior than the "Richard Donner cut" of the film that was released on DVD six years ago. (Donner is no doubt the superior director, and "Superman II" may very well have been better had he never been fired. However, the Donner cut of "Superman II" was a poorly edited version of what Donner's true vision for the film was.)

Personally, I enjoy the theatrical version of "Superman II" as much as "Superman I" (which was entirely directed by Donner).

Here are some more opinions:

I think that Larenz Tate should have had a better film career. I think that he is a talented actor and should have made his way over into doing mainstream films, after he received some success with black films. I wish his acting career would have been at least as good as Terrence Howard's career ended up being.

He started out pretty young, but I think that he did well with the roles that he got, I wish his film career had blossomed more. He's actually still relatively young at 36, but I haven't heard anything about him for a while.

Morris Chesnut, is another actor, who I think deserves to have a better acting career. He's done okay, but I think he deseres to do better. I could have seen him crossing over more to mainstream movies, and television. He should have had a lead role in his own show by now.

He's a handsome man and I like him as an actor. He should have gotten more chances to play leading characters/guest characters on TV shows like some of his fellow actors such as Taye Diggs, and Blair Underwood have gotten.

I think that Billy Bob Thornton should have had a bigger film career as well. I think he's talented.

I think that both Gary Sinise and Kevin Bacon are underrated actors. I think that Gary Sinise definitely should have gotten more film roles/steady work in films.

Also I wouldn't mind if Jennifer Garner got more roles. I think that she seems like a nice person and that her and Ben Affleck, are probably one of Hollywood's more successful, yet underrated couples. I like how they have manage to have what seems like a successful marriage, and family. I don't think that I've ever really heard anything bad about them as a couple.Their family keeps growing (they have three kids now), and they seem happy, and manage to keep things rather low key.

I could see them being kind of like another Bruce/Demi but with a happier ending. I hope they last.

Even though I love The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo's Fire and Sixteen Candles are forever my favorite Brat Pack movies--I don't know why, I just plain love them.

Judd Nelson was hotter in SEF than in BC.

I may get my female membership card revoked for this, but I've only seen Dirty Dancing all the way through once (even though I've listened to songs on the soundtrack a million times)--and I liked Jennifer Grey better in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Footloose, on the other hand? I couldn't love that movie more if I tried (the original, of course).

Even though I love Annie Hall--it had me wanting to be a director/film writer like Woody Allen--and I was a 13 year old girl who grew in the boonies, people--Hannah and Her Sisters is probably my favorite of his films (that I've seen so far). And Radio Days! SO underrated.

I love Three Men and a Little Lady almost as much as Three Men and a Baby (and I CAN'T WAIT for the third movie to come out).

Grace Kelly and Natalie Wood are my favorite Old Hollywood actresses--their life stories alone fascinate me.

If I had to choose between Poltergeist and ET (which came out within a week of each other in 1982, both Spielberg-related, of course), it would have to be Poltergeist, every time.

Michael Schoeffling was hotter in Mermaids than he was in Sixteen Candles (he played Jake in that movie). His first scene in Mermaids with "Johnny Angel" playing in the background? No wonder Winona Ryder's character fell for him! Oddly enough, I saw him first in Mermaids, YEARS before I saw him in Sixteen Candles.

I really don't find Johnny Depp that attractive. Give me Ryan Reynolds, thank you.

Robin Williams' dramatic work in Mrs. Doubtfire may have actually been more impressive than his comedic work in the same film.

Peter Pan is my favorite Disney movie--and I like Beauty and the Beast better than The Little Mermaid.

Prince Phillip (Sleeping Beauty) is hotter than Prince Eric (LM).

More unpopular opinions:

Though Sean Young wasn't the best actress, I'm resentful that her career was cut short by the sexist double-standards that run rampant in the industry. After all, plenty of imbalanced men get to act the fool and either maintain their careers or recover in a way that women never can.

I love James Franco. Not because he's a good actor (which, for the record, I believe he is) or because he is versatile at doing comedy and drama, but because he is clearly having a ball in mocking the Hollywood system and what people expect from a Hollywood actor/heartthrob. Do I believe that he's doing that to make some great point? Nope. The man clearly enjoys pissing off both the supposed highbrow and the lowbrow and it is fun to witness.

I didn't think that Glitter was the worst movie of this century. It was by no means a great movie and the acting was HAMtrocious, but overall, it was no worse than a standard straight-to-DVD movie that one would watch on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

I've never understood the hoopla behind Colin Farrell and his great acting skills. (Doesn't help that he isn't at all attractive.) At best, he is serviceable, so the idea that all he needs is his Titanic so that he can have the moment in the sun that he deserves is lost on me.

    • We're getting an actual personality and flaws for Ashley... so it's a good start.  I'm guessing that Derek is her first serious relationship and I think she's falling out of love with Derek.. just hasn't accepted that realization as of yet. I agree that the show was diving headfirst into an Andre/Ashley pairing in the first handful of episodes, but they backed off of it and I have two theories: - Andre/Dani had a rapport/chemistry.  Probably more so than MVJ or the writers anticipated so the show is probably exploring that avenue. - Based on the character template that Ashley was created from... having her stray with Andre would have been out of character and caused the audience to hate her so the show is now weaving in reasons why Ashley might be looking Andres way (i.e. grass is greener on the other side, inexperience, Derek being too basic/vanilla).
    • Has anyone watched the Texas reunion interview? I haven't gotten to it yet although it'll probably mean more to the people who watched the show at the time.
    • Or, they could have recast the role and written the character better. Maybe too much to expect, but it was a choice. Surprised they never did. Was Raines ever popular? Wait. Wait. WAIT! THEY RETCONNED THAT AGAIN????
    • Hope you're feeling better @slick jones Came across another entry for House Jameson.  Unknown role on Guiding Light, 1958.
    • Greece, France and Luxembourg were my three clear favourites. I think Greece especially had a phenomenal staging. So beautiful. And Klavdia sang fantastic.

France also had beautiful staging and Louane sang her heart out. Finally Luxembourg, who had a vastly improved stage show compared to the national final, and I loved the nod to France Gall on the little tv screen in the dollhouse.
    • LOL - literally just added an edit to my post, because as I'm watching live right now, Dahlia is swimming in the pool alone and there is Marcus.  So annoying. And Phillip just revealed himself to Rick. I have to stop watching now, but curious to see how those interactions go!
    •   LOL.  I realized this week's Lope montage also omitted the Paris remote Lope scenes with Kim Matula. I mean, they repeat stuff over and over and over. I have unintentionally memorized B&B scenes that I barely watched --- because it was repeated in dialogue and immediate flashbacks in following episodes over and over and over.  Yet somehow Brad thinks viewers (even casual views like myself) wouldn't notice the glaring omissions in the montage?  or as dragonflies said, the montage using Lope scenes that happened during the Steam marriage?
    • Well, you wont be happy at all because I think Marcus of all people shows up..you know they have to have a scene were Dahlia is swimming and Marcus joins her..despite the fact that he is a decade older then her. You could tell they were trying to make them the next big thing but then, just dropped it.  The whole wedding was also one of the reason McLaibey was so short term.
    • I would have bought it if Ed/Rick/Michelle were all there, but 1) Ed said he couldn't go because he had to work, to which even someone highlighted that he's chief of staff and could easily go if he wanted; 2) Michelle got on the plane with Rick to go, but J showed up and the Spaulding's kicked him off because why would they want another random teenager to go, so Michelle ran off the plane after him and Rick just let her go (haha, it was kind of dumb); and 3) Rick and A-M have barely said 2 words to each other in the 15 months I've been watching so far, so it was weird he's now just by himself with the Spauldings/Coopers.   But I know now why they're doing this, Rick is clearly there because Phillip has shown up. Very plot-driven, but at least I’m getting old flashbacks of Rick/Phillip during this.  Slight correction - Ed never showed up on the plane, just Rick and Michelle.  Ed had already made the decision he wasn't going. Once 'Slutchelle' (haha!) ran off, I thought it was so weird that Rick either didn't run off after her, or didn't call from the plane to tell Ed. It was only when Blake called Rick, who happened to be with Ed at the hospital, that he happened to tell Ed, in midair, "oh hey, you may want to go find Michelle, she ran off" hahaha. Yeah, I get that being a location shoot, they had to minimize the number of people, but to have Dahlia there over Bridget still irks me. I get it, at this point, Bridget wouldn't have any connections to any of the people there outside of Lucy, just still hurts. ETA: Ugh, and now Marcus shows up!
