DAYS: Will & Sonny Spoiler Thread

It's a terrible scene. There has never been any hint that Will has feelings for Sonny (aside from one grope, months and months ago) and this just confirms it. Between Massey going to the press to tank this storyline, and the poor work he's done in the role, I think they should just give up on Will/Sonny and give Sonny a story of his own. Let Will coo at EJ, since so many adore that.

Ditto...Will one shi t dude....gawd...makes me hate him even more

Agreed on everything you said...Massey was pretty much upset being with Sonny. He'd rather be with EJ and being this suppose thug which he cant pull off with his acting. Of course the new writers crushed all that and now he isnt happy about it. Well if Massey isnt happy about it then recast the part of Will.

It's Nuke all over again with one cast member not into the story for certain reasons. That's why Van got bored and started phoning it in. Once ESS showed up and he was all for the story Van started caring again and the story was much better IMO. Even Van said he was bored with the whole Luke and Noah...hmmm..wonder why...lol....Chandler saying he was disappointed about the EJ story ending and instead giving what fans wanted will kind of sounded like sour grapes to me....he wanted to continue the dreadful smirking acting that he calls the dark side with EJ that was going nowhere.....I knew this story was trouble once someone on here posted about the whole EJ/Will story.

Chandler saying he is upset he's not working much with James is not a slam on Wilson. He said likes the Wilson friendship but also a big Wilson fan. That He & Freddie are gonna do great in this story and he was excited for Will to get romance.

Ok Casting news:Brandon Coughlin is back as Tad on August 20th & Brant Daugherty returns as Brian on August 21st in scenes with Sonny that will lead to a stunning storyline.

I think we are either getting a story where Brian forces himself on Sonny or Tad bashes Sonny & Brian but Brian dies. I believe this to be Sonny's meaty story-line.

I think Tad's being brought back and will end up Bashing Will or Sonny. That will lead to issues for Wilson but they seem to be together by Eileen Davidson's TV line interview. So I say they are together come October.

What I think happens

Tad goes to bash Sonny but Will gets involved in trying to save Sonny & is hurt instead

Will ends up in a coma. (CM shot a film recently, so may have been done to allow him time off)

Then with Will in Coma, Sonny has his own story

Then Will wakes up (By October id say, Given what Eileen said about watching their romance)

Sonny & Will start dating

    • Would that ad even appeal to people who watched Falcon Crest at any point? By that point, did anyone really care about the show? I remember people loathing the last season and especially hating Alfonso's character.

    • True enough, and Tony and Annabelle suffer the same problem. And the people Quint and Nola had interacted with were gone--Kelly, Morgan, Helena, Mrs Renfield---even Van's been transplanted to the Lewis enclave. Nola's curiosity could've been used somehow, but after Reva's arrival it seems like Long is obsessed with selling that woman to the audience.  As originally written--no, the Chamberlains weren't stockholders anymore. At least not to my understanding. But any story where Quint and Vanessa teamed up, realizing that Alex had played them, and found some loophole to get back in to restore Henry's legacy would've been welcome. As much as I like India--Spaulding gets weird in '85 with Alex, Phillip, India and Warren fighting amongst themselves.

    • Same. And looking sooooo good.
    • Yeah this episode was actually really good. I loved SINN together against Looney
    • I can forgive them not writing a lot for Quint/Nola at Van and Billy's first wedding, given that Lisa was hugely pregnant and the other story going on was Tony's medical crisis. But yeah---Nola and Quint barely even speak to Van for that last year-plus. Not even after little Billy's born (although Nola and Van do have a nice scene, which is one of the few that they're just nice to each other) or the fallout of Van's addiction, and they flippin' leave when Billy's in a coma or right after being in one)  Even Henry goes to story Siberia. They gave them a big, new set and the promise of some Billy/Van/Nola/Quint family squabblin'--and NADA.  How COOL would it have been to see Nola side with Van and put Reva in her place? But no...NOLAROBICS. RME. Reva really needed someone outside of Josh to tell her like it was. Instead, Billy's head cheerleader. And Jon's calling him "uncle Billy", which just about made me gag.
    • 5-12   Well, as much as i've been enjoying the highs of BTG, I guess I should try to play catch up on my other soaps...lol.   I actually liked this episode. But I guess it could be because I felt there was a lot going on. Bill and Liam's talk. Luna attempting them inroads with Finn. Steffy comforting Hope over Liam. Sheila thanking Bill for helping Luna. Even a decent cliffhanger with Steffy walking in on Luna and Finn.   I know I said it before, but I don't care for the Liam storyline, but the acting has been good.
    • I enjoyed Santa Barbara from the beginning. Mainly because it was so fresh and different than the P&G soaps I was used to watching.  But there is no denying that it did not hit its stride until 1985. The writing, casting and production all finally came together. Unfortunately backstage drama then slowly destroyed the show and for me from 1988 onward it was a completely different show than the one I was a fan of.
