I heard CM(Ryan, AMC) was on TV1's new show Belle's for an epi.

Yes, I saw it. It was funny to see "Ryan" with a quasi-Bob Newhart stammer getting all hot and bothered over The Real World Tami ("It WASN'T! NOT! FUNNY!"). And yes, I know she's garnered newfound fame from Basketball Wives, but she'll always be RealWorldTami to me.

CM/Ryan really used to get on my nerves and I was surprised by the fact that I actually grinned when he showed up. It's like running into someone you didn't particularly care for in high school but with the passage of time you're more inclined to remember the good ol' days.

She should quit while she's ahead go for girl next door teen roles. Please, she's cut on a good day. She will not now nor ever be a vixen. And if this is her trying toprove that she was hot enough to play Kristina, it's an epic fail.

Apparently she filmed something for Showtime's Masters of Sex

That show is about the sex therapists Masters and Johnson and is set in the 1960s. It's supposed to resemble what someone her age would wear back then, I guess.

I have tweeted with Lexi before and she's very sweet to her fans... I do agree the latest pics look a little too adult, but it depends on the role...

Bitchy bangs just got a pretty high profile pilot. Andy Samberg starring with the Parks and Rec folks writing; I'm sure it'll get picked up to series.

Its gonig to be on Fox so there's a 80% chance that its doomed to fail before it even makes it to air

Yay for Mel! Although you're probably right... it'll end up on Fox Tuesday night and fail miserably...

Sherri Saums new ABC Family show just got picked up!

Created by Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige (Queer As Folk), The Fosters involves a “multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms,” according to the press release. The series will star Teri Polo (Meet the Parents), Sherri Saum (In Treatment) and Jake T. Austin (Wizards of Waverly Place), among others.

Good for her. Is that Elisabeth Rohm?

Sherri looks great.

I love that all this lesbianism comes on the 700 Club channel.

I never can remember what Teri Polo looks like.

Yeah I heard about Pretty Little Liars, and the others too, and all done without fanfare.

Yeah, I really like the way PLL handles it because it isnt a big deal, but it isnt ignored. Emily has had about three girlfriends who all have played into the plot. Her parents did have an issue with it, she wasnt totally ok with it at first, but her friends and their parents were like "so? good for you!" and recently Hannha went to a bar because she was following one of Emilys girlfriend and it turned out to be a gay bar, and of course she was hit on and it was sort of comical but she just rolled with it and when she got arrested her mother was all "a gay bar? ok. do you need to tell me something?" But basically its very much done as a part of the characters life and it is done without that "look at us! lesbians! we are so progressive!" by the show so thats nice.

If the network had its way, The 700 Club wouldn't be on the channel at all. Hell, "Family" wouldn't be a part of the name.

But:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ABC_Family

The original sale from CBN to Fox/Saban contained a stipulation that the channel contain the word "Family" in the name forever, no matter who owns the network.

Criticism

With the 2006 introduction of new shows to the network by Disney, many parents have reacted negatively to programming on ABC Family. Many people feel the network has gone from family friendly to "too risqué," and shows like Greek and The Secret Life of the American Teenager are far too racy for "family viewers." Critics feel the executives at ABC Family are only after viewership numbers and are unconcerned about showing younger generations in questionable scenarios in series and film. Mostly, the main focus is on teenage pregnancy and underage drinking.[24]

It should be noted that despite the channel's name including the word "Family" (the network is, as previously mentioned, contractually required to keep the word in its name), the channel's programming content standards had changed several years earlier after the sale of the channel by Pat Robertson and International Family Entertainment, and the channel had been airing even some acquired series and movies that contain profanity, violence and sexual content or dialogue after the sale, particularly since being purchased by The Walt Disney Company. ABC Family does air parental advisory tags at the beginning of some TV-14 rated programs, such as That '70s Show and some episodes of The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

Pat Robertson also basically has the channel by the neck to keep The 700 Club on the air. Clever bastard:

Change

Another one of Robertson's stipulations in his sale of the original Family Channel to its future line of secular owners was that his syndicated talk show, The 700 Club, be aired twice daily on the network (although the channel is only required to carry the program twice a day, ABC Family carries The 700 Club three times each weekday; once in the morning, twice at night), along with a shorter CBN talk show called Living the Life. Following controversial remarks made by Robertson on the former program about Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez, as well as other equally controversial comments regarding homosexuals, feminists, Muslims, abortion, and many other social issues,[11] ABC Family moved to distance itself from the program (the showing of which is also required under Robertson's original sale stipulations, along with the airing of a day-long CBN telethon which airs the week before the Super Bowl every year); On August 29, 2005, ABC Family changed the disclaimers before, during, and after the broadcasts from "The following/preceding program is/was brought to you by CBN" to "The following/preceding CBN telecast does not reflect the views of ABC Family." Since 2003, ABC Family has been producing more successful original movies and series.
