I'm don't think everyone shot an alternate ending. For example, I don't think anyone among the Chandlers had an alternate ending because David Canary and Julia Barr did not start working until after the Prospect Park announcement. So there's no reason for them to shoot an alternate ending. There's probably bits and pieces (Leo & Greenlee, confirmed by RB and Amanda and Janet, confirmed by CS) floating around though. I wonder what Erica's ending would have been.

That's my take as well. There are maybe a couple more vignettes in existence that were filmed ahead of time by returnees, like Esta Terblanche (she had to have done more than that blink-and-miss-it appearance, right? And one of the magazines mentioned her as having been at the studio to pick up her scripts) and maybe Melissa Claire Egan. I can't even remember all the other people who returned now! Jennifer Bassey had to actually go back for the finale because they needed her to be there when David Canary was there.

I read she had filmed more but it was cut due to rewrites thanks to who? Oh yeah PP

Oh, you know, they shot something with Josh when he was here in August and I think they were going to use that in the finale before All My Children was purchased by Prospect. Now don’t hold me to it, but I do believe that was the intention when the show was going to end one way. But it’s been changed now.
