OLTL: Two additional returns

Yet, no Max, Marty, Dorian, Andrew, Cassie. Le sigh.

I know he's hardly a popular chracter anymore--and didn't do much for his last era, but I'd love even a brief cameo to try to go back to the early years, with Larry. Is Judith Light in or out for sure? Cuz it would make sense for him to be around the same time.

The thing that's kind of *sad trumpets* about these returns is that Troy and Hannah, unlike Annie, Janet, and even Marian, are not by any means beloved, classic OLTL characters. I was never a Lindsay fan frankly, and Mitch, what a mess they made of him. So we'll see. Even a fun as hell character like Alex has been let down by the writing in recent comebacks, as was Carlo at the 40th. I guess my point is today's One Life doesn't do so well when it comes to bringing folks back. IMO, Andrea Evans is the only one who has pulled off whatever they've given her this last go round, and J-Lo too, though they have given him very little to do.

I'd change your first sentence to "unlike Janet, Marian and even Annie" since, beloved as she became, Annie is a newish character and I think Marian is a classic AMC character--but yes, that's precisely how I feel. It could (and probably will) be fun, but... I do like Lindsay, and hate how she was dropped, but I still agree with nearly everything you say.

Also with the Oakhaven crew, they did manage to use it for some "closure"--it led to Janet and Amanda coming to some sort of understanding, and of course Marian's ending (even Annie to an extent)--I don't think that can happen here and frankly I don't really care about Hannah (didn't she already apologize and start seeming more sane before she left or did she go wacky again?)

I was 90% satisfied with AMC's finale. My only complaint is that it was rushed and compressed but other than that I think it was a near-perfect way to say goodbye.IMO, it was true to the spirit of the show.

I agree--and the more I've satat with it, the more I feel that way. I think the final episode should have been 2 hours--it felt rushed, and of course I have very mixed to negative feelings about how much Orpheus we got the final months, but in all reality, I think it was well done and respectful to both new and longterm fans--or as much as was possible in such short time.

The actors who play Max, Marty and Dorian were openly disrespected. I don't know why anyone thinks they would or should return.

Wortham Krimmer (Andrew) is out of the business now.

As for Cassie, why bring her back when there's no Cramer women except Todd's warbling concubine and spawn? No Dorian, Addie, Melinda, Kelly, etc...

Krimmer has returned for brief stints (VERY brief) since he became a lawyer though, it's not completely out of the question to have him back. But I get what you're saying...

I never knew why Lindsay stayed as long as she did, really. I like Cat Hickland but they had nothing for her to do after about 2003. I know she had some stories with that robot daughter of hers but that's not a lot.

I think it would have been a nice touch if they'd brought Larry back. He may not be a big fan favorite, but they've brought back much more meaningless characters than that. Seeing Larry again would be another way to wrap up what OLTL is. Bringing in Hannah or Troy or Mitch is just a reminder of what got the show canceled.

Hannah's best scene of her whole run was when Natalie called her crazy and she responded by yelling "I'm not crazy" and acting completely crazy.

Must have gotten confused as to which serial killer killed who...

Thats understandable bc there were alot of serial killers and murder mysteries between 2003 and 2006. At least 2-4 a year

OLTL legit became that soap opera with the serial killers.

and none of them were even well done. i guess the best might be the music box killer, but only because of ashford. he was the music box killer, yes?

Yep that was him. Malone was obsessed wtih those type of stories for some reason and they continued after he left

ITA with you about Larry. He's one of those characters that always let you know you were home in Llanview. Kind of what Joe and Ruth were to AMC. When you get rid of those characters, it's like coming back to your old neighborhood and seeing that they put up a Starbucks where your old playground used to be. Seeing Larry walking through the halls of the hospital again would be a nice way to return a tiny bit of heart to the show's last days.

How many serial killers were they? I know of three in that time period. (White Rose Killer, Music Box Killer, and Killing Club Killer) but was there anymore? And, who did they kill?

Can someone start a thread about this? Cause, I don't want to.

IThat might be it for the serial killing stories but those werent the only murder mysteries. Mitch, Keri, and Paul were all killed off as mysteries. There might be more but my memory is a bit hazy
