I figured, with AMC gone (for now), it was time to pick up a new soap. And what better soap to pick up than the daddy of WTD tales. :)

It's amazing how this show used to be a part of our daily routine, a 2 hr. block of it, but then people go futzing around with schedules. I have to admit, I was really pleased the other day when I discovered it now comes on in my area at 4pm. I was beginning to get worried that I was stuck with Anderson, Oz, and Ellen.

I actually enjoyed the show years ago before it was ONLY WTD episodes.

I missed the shows that dealt with phobias, out of control teens (thats done occasionaly but barely), mothers who dress too sexy, etc.. The show isnt bad but 98% of the topics are about a DNA or lie detector test

Do y'all remember when Murray still wore suits? tongue.png

I think the out of control teen girls was the beginning of his show's transition.

One of my favorite episodes was back in the late '90s when he had on a rack of classic cartoon voice-over actors, many of whom have now passed away.

Murray also introduced me to Hydeia Broadbent who I have never, never, ever forgotten.

Who in the blue-dilly f*ck is Murray?

I loved Maury and Sally Jessy. Both trashtastic entertainment when I came home from school.

It's so hilarious to think of how the topics on SJR became so ridiculous, considering she once did topical shows and won Daytime Emmys.

We can thank Springer for that. :)

I think they mean Maury.

Nah nah, there is no "Maury"... when you are a fan of the show, the only acceptable pronunciation is "Murray".

Wasn't it Sally that had the bootcamp for delinquent teens? "The pain is'a comin'. The pain is'a comin'!"

well Sally isnt the only one to do that topic.

Yeah I just can't handle it now. Is it always tyhe same or is it just the few times I flip past? I appreciate he's given up even trying to come off like a respectable Donahue style host but... *yawn*.
