September 18, 201114 yr Member Brian Bodine #3, Brian Lane Green who was also Sam Fowler #3 On AW Before AMC
September 18, 201114 yr Member Who's that with Jack? Gloria Marsh. She married Adam, Miscarried his baby, went nuts for a bit. She later dated Tad and Dimitri then left town in Jan 1998
September 18, 201114 yr Member Okay. Susan in the early 80's was not much of an actress.. She is just not impressing me in any of these episodes pre 90's. The fact that she was even nominated for emmys in this era boggles my mind. ===Ducks head====. Who produced the show in 1984? The show looks nice. Very warm, elegant and inviting. I always found AMC ugly during the periods I watched it. No she wasn't no reason to duck. I think she improved a lot over the years.
September 18, 201114 yr Member He was Fired??? AMC fired him yes. I dont remember why but he was then obviously hired as Jack Abbott but I don't remember why he was fired and the gap between being fired and hired on at Y&R.
September 18, 201114 yr Member I have been a pretty vocal non AMC fan, but if I wasn't 6 when this aired I would have been HOOKED. This show must have been getting major ratings in 1984. (OLTL started its downturn during this period, and from what clips I have seen on Youtube it skewed MUCH older, in terms of character, and was dare I say downright stodgy). Just basing on this episode, it just WORKS. I've tried to watch OLTL episodes from this time period, but I just can't. They remind me a lot of the P&G soaps from the same era.
September 18, 201114 yr Member Does anyone remember why Peter Bergman was fired? It was when Behr first took over and Cliff was engaged to Angie. I think they got some hate mail for that story and decided to get rid of him.
September 18, 201114 yr Member wasnt this the episode that AMC was almost #1 I believe this was the one. Or was it the one where they saw each other on the bridge and she ran away. No, I think it was this one. They beat Y&R for half an episode.

Yes, OLTL episodes from 1983-84 were downright boring. The show seemed to have no indentity or direction. The show seemed cold. In just one episode of AMC I can see some real heart and alot of simply appealing characters. (although I never seem to see this humor that AMC was lauded for..) Pretty cool watching this.
September 18, 201114 yr Member Yes, she was. I used to love Brian and Hayley with the first Brian. Nu-Brian and Dixie were vomit worthy.
September 18, 201114 yr Member Still waiting for my mom to get home. TV's been on pause for like 20 mins.
