Nice little character show today...but UGH at Kendall/Greenlee and Ryan/Jake

Yeah, it would've been nice to be Ryan/Greenlee/Kendall free for one day! I didn't mind the Ryan/Jake scenes, but I hate when Kendall/Greenlee get along so well after all the [!@#$%^&*] they've done to each other over the years.

Cause of Brot and Natalia! And Colby and Scott are nice too. Krystal and Tad aren't bothering me either.

Brot showing some integrity where Jesse hasn't...nice!

Brot/Natalia & Colby/Scott were nice character-driven scenes that give me hope if PP gets their act together that the online version of AMC will be worth watching.

I wish Jesse had shown as much guilt to Angie as Brot did to Natalia about switching the babies, but maybe he will once she gets her eyesight back.

Sounds like Ryan is going to die. YEAH!!!!!

Please let this happen! I hope the rumors that Cameron will replace Regis are true and he's moving to New York and staying far, far away from the PP version of Pine Valley.

My problem is they dropped a cliffhanger of sorts yesterday and it didn't continue it today unless it was not intended to be a cliffhanger

If it hastens the Orpheus plot, I don't mind. Imo, this was the best episode in a while.

I'm failing to see the great, irredeemable action of havingDavid standing by and letting Zach die. Not because I like David, but because Zach stood by and listened while Tad tortured Greg Madden AND CHOSE TO DO NOTHING... and then Zach murdered Josh to harvest his organs. Zach has no respect for anyone else's life but his own and would do the exact same thing David "disgustingly" did.

That's what bothers me about this story. Why did David get arrested again? Why isn't Zach in jail yet? I just don't get it.

I keep hoping Babe is in only Dixies dream

Me, too! I'm hoping the final 2 Orpheus "zombies" are Leo & Stuart.

David is a villian so I don't see any of this as being OOC. They give him shades of grey at times or should I say VI in his portrayal does. But I think where the line crosses IMO is the fact that people like Tad and Zach especially while i know are good characters, tend to get on their high horse when they have done things equally repulsive. Zach especially is one character I have never gotten behind starting with his entrance to the canvas and all that crap with Ethan. I know he's supposed to be an antihero type but he's just so domineering and offputing to be rootable to me.

Its the same reason I sort of root for JR at times not because he's been lily white its because the people they put against him as the "moral" aspect are not in the least rootable themselves because of their prior actions.

My thoughts exactly!

I don't think JR has been shown as a hero since Young took over the role, to be honest--at least not after the first few months. But I do think his motivations and background are clear and make some sort of sense (I know others on here disagree--so be it).

I agree David is a villain, although I do think sometimes the writing has worked to make him more subtle and even sympathetic--great stuff like the fall our of Leora's death for example with Anna, or even since LB's returned I do think having those inteactions with Angie, etc, help make the character more interesting than the Machiavellian mustache twirler he has been portrayed at other times.

Once again, we totally agree!

LOL, oh no, might that be directed at me? I'm sorry if I upset the great one. Wasn't my intent. wink.png

You're forgiven... with the blessing of Saint David.

I thought this was a really wonderful episode. Lots of genuine love, friendship and connection during one long Pine Valley night. People trying to figure out what matters to them "at the end of the day." The themes of family, friendship, home. Some looking back, some looking forward. Lots of character but little "drama."

And to beat my particular dead horse a bit more, I'm glad they tabled all of our macho-men and villains du jour: Zach, David and JR and concentrated on the power of the feminine. Feminine friendship (Kendall/Greenlee, Krystal/Liza), the mother-daughter connection (Liza/Colby), the healing power of a quiet love (Natalia/Brot). We even got Ryan/Jake exploring their feminine sides.

This episode felt like coming home to Pine Valley. I loved it.

I won't make a lap dog comment :P

Totally agreed. It was a nice, quiet, character episode which I honestly didn't expect in the middle of all this PO stuff.

I'm kind of glad. I wondered how a real person's family would've felt having their story used that way.

Brott and others did tell real stories during the episode dedicated to one of his presentations early in his run (one of the few Agnes nixon style moments under Pratt)

I remember that. The scenes in the VA hospital. Those scenes are one of the reasons I just don't have the level of hate for Pratt that so many do.

Though that WAS the first few months of Pratt--where I admit I actually was enjoying his stuff--the use of various characters, and comedy was so refreshing after the last year of McTavish nightmare and the utter (and completely Zendall/Rylee) mess that was B/E's era which was just so dull.

Was Pratt also behind the transgendered support group that Zarf went to? I went to college with one of the real-life group members.
