He really did care about her and look out for her well being. The writers dropped that about 3-4 years ago

Of course, its completely ignored how TSJ Todd handled Jessica's DID the first time. He really went after Tess and tried to help Jessica out by bringing the truth out

Please point me to the storyline in which TSJ-Todd admitted to a mental breakdown, got treatment, became a better man after what he did with Marty and Tess. All he's done since is chuckle about it and air quote for three years. Oh, poor me, I threw myself off a building because my rape victim won't love me. That sounds rough. He didn't do time, he didn't get help, he didn't do anything other than get with Tea and gain a daughter. Listen, you can enjoy a pairing, you can enjoy an actor's performance, I for one think TSJ does an excellent job playing a creep, but the idea that his Todd is some great guy who came back from those stories and that it is valid to the character is now being shown as patently ridiculous.
