AMC: Actress confirms return

Not in the least and I never cared about it when the rumors floated around years ago either. Does everyone get along with everyone in their workplace? Conflict is a part of human nature. I know SMG is not a warm and fuzzy person but people on line put too much stock in it. These people are professionals and will do their jobs regardless. Heck Peter Reckell and Kristian Alphonzo worked together for years and hated each other. And??

SMG is Kendall. I am sure AM is a nice person but Kendall got morphed to fit her and not for the better JMO. I always envisioned Kendall as the next Erica in some ways.

And for someone who is supposedly such a *itch, SMG came calling to AMC to make a farewell appearance which shows how classy she is.

Yeah I utterly & completely disagree. Kendall didn't get morphed to fit her at all, SMG's Kendall was just Greenlee the first, they're one & the same, at least the Pre-Rylee Greenlee

AM gave Kendall vulnerability & heart, SMG's version was just one-dimensional bitch

I like AM but SMG was a much stronger actress than she has ever been. The character of Kendall was so much better in 1993-1995 than what we have seen in the past decade

And SMG is far better than Buddig ever was. I think its just personal preference. I hated Zach and I have to admit I enjoy AM's Kendall a lot more

with Zach out of the picture than I have with him.

I was 14 years old when I saw SMG's last episode as Kendall. Not knowing anything about BTS going-on's and taping schedules at that time, I wrote a passionate letter begging her to come back. So, I really mean it when I say I loved SMG as Kendall.

That said, AM is THE Kendall for me.

AM became the definitive Kendall for me in those scenes where Kendall talked to Bianca before the abortion and I never looked back after that. Before that, although I liked AM in the role a lot more than I thought I ever would, from time to time I would think about SMG back in the role. So, I agree with SMG on AM and Kendall.

I think both variations of Kendall's haven't always had the best writing, so this is despite writing in a lot of ways.

She was one of the leads to arguably the best story of that era. The Kendall/Erica retcon was JUICY stuff. Kendall was such a fun character for the drama and story she brought on. I loved SMG from when she was on Swans Crossing so it was such a treat to have her on AMC. I thought she did great and held her own. Its a shame she was only on the show for such a short time but she definetly left her stamp on the role. She was one of the characters that people said was unrecastable bc she was that damn good anc AMC left the character in limbo for a good 6-7 years despite her importance. Of course then AM came in and has done wonders with making Kendall her own

They hated each other. One word...Zach.

Edited to add: Oh wait, you mean SMG? They defiently did have scenes. Maria was married to Edmund and living at Wildwind. Kendall was there alot as Dimitri was her stepfather and she married his son, Anton. She also feuded with her sister, Julia. I dont recall them personally having much to do with each other but they were in the same orbit

Maria and Kendall (AM) never really had anything out over Zach. Kendall wasn't really interested in Zach while Maria was around. You were a big Kendall/Aidan fan, right? Aidan was their snarky point.

I remember when Kendall got involved with Zach, Maria's jealousy started to kick in. He was claiming to love her and was pursuing her for months and then all of a sudden he makes plans to marry Kendall. She didnt like that

Yes, that is accurate, but the lack of interest Kendall & Zach had in each other romantically along with both being hung up on other people made these one or two encounters during the engagement insignificant. They didn't really hate each other over Zach. Maria was a little jealous. Kendall enjoyed smacking her around for being Maria a bit, as usual and stemming more from their clashes over Aidan. Kendall at one point was even offering to help get Zach back with Maria at one point.

I think there is a chance she'll interact with more people. It seems like a complete waste to just have her interact with ELR. Maybe Maria will make introductions between her friend from California and some of the Pine Valley folks.

    • Glad you enjoyed watching. Yes, Michael seems like fun. I am always interested in more of these niche talk show appearances.
    • Thanks for the tag @DRW50
    • Upon reflection, I think you're right, their chilliness toward each other was more recent. She said women on the show in 1984 were not supportive and she still stays away from them. She seems friendly with Susan Hayes so Deidre is the only woman still around from those days, though I guess Kristian Alfonso and Leann Hunley could also qualify. And it might be someone long gone but who is still present in Suzanne's social circles.
    • I don't know.  The animosity seems to be more recent than the mid 80s.  When Maggie was a victim of the Salem Stalker i remember reading an interview with Suzanne where she said they aired the episode(s) surrounding Maggie death in a theatre and made a big deal about it.  Suzanne was very upset about being fired and Dee comforted her and said that they were making such a big deal about it because it was Suzanne/Maggie.  I cannot find the article but I will keep trying. That said Suzanne's comments on Soapy about how some of the female cast members treated her during her illness was disappointing to hear to say the least.
    • Anyway... Kristen should have a prison lesbian story arc. And then come out and become obsessed with Marlena so we can move her on from the Brady nonsense. Is that secret room still in the DiMera mansion?
    • Oh, wow... where can I find this interview?
    • I'm really liking Izaiah and Eva so far. And why can't I help but feel that something might happen to make Jessica stay in Fairmont Crest permanently?
    • So Pam didn't create her? I thought she had the whole of 87-88. I'll look around, thanks for the point in the right direction.

date: Tuesday, November 18, 2025 | Jamey Giddens, Danielle Paige | Steven Williford Samantha, accept the fact you were in the wrong and do not deserve your digital devices. Do not like it? Go upstairs. Read a book. Do some knitting. Bradley and Martin's "we get it" to Tyrell was hilarious and absolutely a parent's thing to do. Loving a bit of history of both the Duprees (via Eva) and the Hawthrones (via Izaiah). So cute. Poor June. I am sure she did not purposefully mean to mess up; we have all been there working in customer service. Shake it off and keep on keeping on! Not twice a week for Vernon's cobbler order... Sharon must be using that as payment for their meetings. I appreciate that Ted still cares about the Duprees despite the end of his marriage to Nicole. Not Dana using Peaches' crisis as a way of taking Ted's attention away from a co-worker. Girl, do not be so obvious. Bradley is a man after my own heart with a simply divine chocolate milkshake. That is the way to go. Dana really needs to dial it back. Money will not buy her everything she wants and she will realise it soon enough. And I doubt Shanice is scared off by her idle threats, either. "With all due respect, Ms Thomas, this isn't a shopping mall." Oh, Dr Wilkes just owned Dana's arrogant ass. I love it. Wigs and personas? Okay now, Shanice ate with that read. I like that June assured Bradley that she will not replace him or Martin in the twins' lives. And that blood does not make a parent. Words never rang more true. Jessica reading Samantha was amazing. Dana would want to involve Ted. Her obsession is crossing beyond dangerous boundaries. Not Dana catching Vernon leaving Sharon's room at the country club. That is not good. Not good at all! Notes: Ugh. Not another breakdown from writer2. This week was going so well. Thankfully, Paige is an outstanding scriptwriter (one of this soap's best), and her words today are excellent. The food at Orphey Gene's does look bomb, so I do not blame any of the characters for uptalking it. I would eat there daily if I could. And gain hundreds of pounds, too. David Lami Friebe (Izaiah) continues to make me sick watching him, but he is nice to listen to. I still really like having June as the central person hub at Orphey Gene's. That familiar face you see when you walk in and have scenes. Dana wanting a second opinion means we could have an incoming doctor, right...?
