Re Wolf: I judge on "stories" I have to see "his stories" play out...but for the most part its the same deal IMO.Frons hands is still in the pot so I don't expect a whole lot his favs are still on on parade w/the exception of seeing the Qs pimp and prop Jason. The dialog is atrocious for me...I mean it ain't hard to see what their selling and that's ok but subtle is a good thing too.

GH has no "mystery" for me. I don't even have to think to watch GH, . ..I'm still being clubbed to death. and that's very Guzaesque ....like someone said Guza-Lite...this is like the third week out so again I'm going to wait until Wolf tells a story...but I'm not that impressed just happy Guza is gone. Wolf as yet to bowl me over. I wasn't interested in the LuLu / Maxi stuff so I pretty FF through that, I am just tired of Elizabeth shackled to Lucky w/Shioban

I just want something new this has been going on since 2009. Its time for a total change.

But only recurring characters get paid per-episode. Diane and Coleman are recurring, but Alexis/Mac are contract.

They still get paid per epsiode. They sign a contract for X amount of epsiodes, usually a week, and if they work over that amount they get paid extra, if they work under they get paid the same as if they worked whatever the amount of the contract is.

Wasnt this an issue that someone, perhaps Martha Byrne had that made her leave ATWT? They wanted to reduce her episodes? And more recently Days had to write Bo Brady out because they had used him so much more than his contract was for, they couldn't afford it.

It's all so confusing, lol. But yes, you're right about Peter Reckell. He was gone for a couple months last year, I think, over that. Not sure about MB though.

I too am so not impressed with the show..

Turning it on last night...seeing Michael wearing a white suit coat and pants? That is Sonny's outfit at the Island.

This leads me to believe there is no change with Michael. Sonny still the hero that Michael dress's like him now?

I found myself ffing thru them.

The bar scene..ended as soon as Mac got there. No humor IMO.

I FF thru all Liz scenes. She needs to go home already and allow Lucky to be a husband. ff. Less agrivation.

I will say, there must be alot of editing going on. Per spoilers they were suppose to show the bathroom scene with the girls thinking Abby was a hooker.

There were also scenes that weren't shown with Ethan at Alexis's house during the storm.

Very disapointing.

I think you have the right attitude and I can't believe I am going to defend GH but change takes time. To me the only thing that has really changed is the balance and I think thats more a result of budgetary issues than someone really wanting to give Jason, Sonny, and Carly less airtime. As for women getting their balls back, I guess if catfights and such is the definition of that then I guess its happened. After spending time watching more balanced soaps AMC is actually about the only soap left where the women seem to get some level of respect and POV and are allowed to challenge a man and thats about to change back for the worse I fear. It was great watching Patrick and Dante yell at Sonny but Sam yells at Carly and lets up on Sonny? Why? Same with Robin.

But IA the show is very very predictable.Its one of the few things I can defend on OLTL is as much mysogny that exists on that show, I can't say its predictable and their pacing is exceptional. I can say I don't like a lot of RC's stories but I can acknowledge the good. He might actually help GH in that respect. But then I don't ever expect the overall winners and themes on GH to change as someone said Frons is still running ABC. Jasam, Scrubs are very much like Ryan and Greenlee. Played out and boring but the show won't move away from them. But then moving AMC and OLTL to PP might turn out to be a blessing in disguise and it might end up being the same for GH.

I hate when LW's hair is curly, I was hoping that was just temporary since it got wet in the storm but it's the next morning and she didn't straighten it out.

I liked Carly going to Robin and thanking her. Robin's bitchy response back was understandable but I was still annoyed by her

Loved Carly punch slapping Sonny, he deserved it! I love how he's not exactly being let off the hook so easily for what he's done! I hope he continues to get tortured by what he's done.

I have a few problems with his storytelling as far as pacing (we had to wait until today for the Alexis/Mac/Diane/Coleman pick up? And it's been the same day for the last 3 weeks?!), but I definitely enjoy the attention to character development. I also agree that it's still too soon to judge. I want to see how these arcs play out: Jason and the accident, Lucky and the drugs, etc.

Same here. I started watching GH again when GW's material began airing; and for now, I'm just watching w/o making any sweeping judgments. However, I will say I've been able to sit through entire episodes of this show again, which hadn't been the case for a very long time.
