Really? Cause I heard the exact opposite about both

Everyone ive talked to raved about JV being open, honest, approachable, and affectionate (in a good way). I totally believe it too because he was by far the best person to interview at the emmys and hang out with that weekend randomly. Totally impressed.

People said MEK was not very approachable, be it him or his handler. Ive seen both be blamed.

It's interesting that the people I've heard bad things about JV from, weren't there and tend to fit into one group, or fanbase should I say. I actually was debating (time was running out) whether to go jump in CBL and SG's line, or JV. The recommendation from four different people was JV. Guess to me and those four, he wasn't an ass. LOL

LOL, I've heard that about me and VI before. He's so handsome and down to earth. I was a basket case with SL, VI? Literally walked right up, he remembered me and hugged me. It was like night and day.

A couple of people on my FB said I look like SL (I don't see it, but squeed anyway) and a couple others said I look like I could play VI's kid. Naturally I was like, "If I could act, I'd be okay with being David/Erica's unaborted fetus." LOL

Yeah, I heard that on my FB too. I guess that's what happens when you lose 50lbs and have Lasik. You start to resemble stars.

I was one of the "handlers" and it's a thankless job and NOT easy. I know I got ripped a new one by several fans for having to cut off the line or trying to keep things organized when going table to table (so many people just jump up and get on an imaginary line that they want to form but that's cutting in front of people from the next table - who also get angry). No win scenario.

As for MEK, please understand that these events can be a little scary. And he's a bit of an introvert when he's not "on." He can be shy, for lack of a better word. But he's a DOLL.

That said, when I talked to JV one on one, he was lovely.

It was a great experience. I went to a lot of the events.

TC Warner is weird!! She brought her hubby who was trying to pimp something, I asked her who the hell that guy is, and she's like "That's my husband" oops, my bad.

They also brought this weirdo that had a brooklyn accent & who was clearly auditioning, wanting to be a star. the next time I saw him, he was hovering outside another event trying to sell flowers....weird.

I thought MEK was nice...they all were.

Huh? No. I was there for 3 events as planned. LOL Someone got fired?

Most of the "escorts" were new to this and just volunteers.We were assigned actors (if something wasn't pre-arranged between you and the actor), and if your actor left the main event early... you got to pitch in with another actor. A lot at the AMC main event were actually GH fans who were volunteering for Debbie (FC pres).

Aww I wish I was there--Kylie beautiful pics (I admit, as someone said in another thread, I'm never sure who's a guy and who'se a girl on here, though I have some figured out, and for a long time I thought you were a guy who was just a huge Kylie Minogue fan like I am ). My experience is more with sci-fi conventions than soap events but nine times out of ten stories about stars acting badly leave out the part where a fan oversteps. Where they do something like follow the star to the bathroom or takes a picture of them without asking. (More than one Star Trek fan has been soundly cussed out by Patrick Stewart for interrupting him at dinner.) Of course there are always those actors who suck at personal appearances so much they should never do them but I've never heard of MEK being anything but sweet.
