Soap Stars with Sexy Voices

  • Member

I was just thinking about this topic, and I have to say that Lauren Koslow may have the sexiest voice in all of daytime. I just love her British accent. (It reminds me of Sarah Douglas, who played the Kryptonian villian Ursa in Superman II.) What is strange, however, is that Koslow (unlike Douglas) is not from the UK but rather from New England; therefore, I have no idea how she ever got her sexy British accent.

If one considers past soap stars, I always found Victoria Wyndham to have a sexy voice as well.

I'm 50 and totally aging myself, but Susan Seaforth, Toni Bull Bua and especially - Jaime Lyn Bauer owns this thread. I can still see her sexy cooing with Tom Selleck when he would show up at her door.

Of course it is all subjective, but some names I see listed here I might call a cool or even great voice, but not necessarily a sexy one. I think Beverlee McKinsey and Marj Dusay have awesome feline, smoker's voices that are sexy in fluidity and timbre, yet I feel weird referring to women my grandmother's age as sexy. Douglass Watson had an awesome voice but you won't hear me calling it sexy. I mentioned Lauren Holly earlier, and while not a *great* voice, it nonetheless triggered something sexy in my brain. What in your opinion differentiates a sexy voice from a great voice?

I think a teasingly sexy scene is where you separate the voices. The early Lorie Brooks stuff as I've stated, every scene she had a with a man who wasn't her father, you felt she was trying to seduce him into something.

I agree about Beverlee McKinsey. I never found her to be sexy at all, maybe it's because she played Emma Ordway first or they had her as the mother of a 12 year old on AW, but her upper crust Brandy soaked voice was perfect for both Iris and Alexandra. You rarely saw her in seductive scenes unless she was pleading with 'Daddy' to ditch Rachel.

I just realized that I forgot to stand up for my boy, Michael Easton. I've encountered that voice up close and personal and I'm happy to save it in the "Panty Dropper" file. Give me a scene with McBain, Jesse and Frankie and I will be a happy fangurl.

What about Thom Christopher?

Agreed on both counts as long as I dont have to see their faces and lack of hair or hair wax.

Beverlee's baby talk on AW always reminded me of a child-woman, which Iris was supposed to be. But her voice on GL was much rougher and I thought it was at times very sexy.

Tonja Walker (when she's not screaming)

Robin Strasser (when she's not screaming)

Elizabeth Hubbard (when she did that type of purr before she'd lunge at Craig)
