I wonder why they're using that stock photo of "Jason Morgan" when Burton was like 15 in it. C'mon, TV Guide.

wink.png There's a reason for everything....then again that pic isn't THAT old.

I am just curious if anyone knows the answer to this. With this whole internet channel concept relatively new, has anyone explored doing a sci fi internet channel or is there one that carries sci fi programming? I ask because sci fi fans in general seem to potentially be the most adaptable to this type of change.

Sci-fi already has its own cable channel and Hulu offers a fairly wide array of sci-fi shows including most of the Syfy lineup so I think that's a case of the market already being served. No matter what, no one could ever argue that there isn't money to be made in that genre. The same can't be said of soaps.

I knew they had their own cable channel which seems to do fairly well with their target demo and sci fi fans while passionate about their shows, tend to be adaptable and forward thinking. I just was curious if they had any content specifically developed for online viewing only or does Hulu primarily carry the scifi shows already broadcast on television somewhere?

Yes. But they seem to have a good relationship with a lot of sources. They also carry a decent amount of anime and manga (not my preferred genre) as well as a number of Korean sci-fi offerings. They let users suggest content and I sent a request that they add Spanish novelas with subtitles.

BREAKING: #OLTL last airdate on ABC is January 13th. First airdate w/Prospect Park is January 16th along w/#AMC.

Oh jesus. So we're losing it a week early, huh? Wow, I can't wait to see what they've got in store. They better get some cast announcements going...like now!

OLTL is going to get screwed out of a finale. I'll be shocked if even half of their & 99% of AMC's cast continues on.

I really don't think they'll get a chance to air on cable cause the online stuff is going to not help at all

We had never really heard anything about OLTL's finale plans anyway. Based on the stories over the last months, even before PP, there was little indication they were planning a big finale.

OLTL could lost most of their cast and still continue on, as long as the right actors stay and they find some decent new characters (depending on budget).

Why do you think the online thing will hurt their chances with cable?

Crap we are losing some ABC episodes that SUCKS a lot especially due to the Dec/Jan holidays and no new episodes.

Why does this make me think somehow Frons still has his hands in all this?

I wouldn't be surprised, but I wonder if The The are really ready to go or not. We have barely heard a word about this Revolution.

Because AMC(IN MY OPINION) is going to lose about 98/99% of it's original cast. It won't be AMC, only in name only. I don't see LaLucci doing the online version. At best she might make drop in appearances every so often.

OLTL might have better chance since I think some of the vets might stick around
