I think a seasonal schedule is a wonderful idea for both shows, and I had thought about something very, very similar not long ago for OLTL.

That said, Carruthers cannot manage the budget of a show with network money, let alone this. And frankly I'd like to see new writers at both shows, at least to supplement the existing ones.

Right now EVERYBODY is probably throwing out ideas on how to make this work. They can't contact actors until they know what they're going to do and what the focus needs to be for the new AMC. I'm not gonna worry until things are confirmed. Lorraine is going to remain HW (i think that is one of the few facts we know) and I'm sure she'll look at what she has and be able to craft something. It's too early to label this a flop. It does look disorganized and I felt the same way at first, but they're still developing the idea.

I agree with Chris. And what they really need here is time, I am sure they are dancing as fast as they can right now. I really like this seasonal idea, and it will require an added element of planning if they are to focus on particular characters for future arcs based on actor availability. I can only speak for myself, but I just don't buy this idea that a huge chunk of audience will fall off if the show doesn't move online a weekend after it wraps on TV. If you lose interest after only a couple of weeks, you really weren't that on board to begin with. If they told you your favorite soap was moving to primetime, you'd probably be thrilled and giddily wait all summer for it to debut. I know this online thing is *new*, it is certainly an adjustment, but folks need to think outside the box here. Right now, I feel like too many people are already trashing their meal while the chef is still busy preparing it.

Oh damn looks like Jamey might've been wrong!

Alicia Minshew insists that an online report pegging her as a no-go for the online version of AMC is false. "I have made absolutely no decision about appearing on ALL MY CHILDREN after its last TV episode because I know nothing!" the actress tells Digest. "I have not been spoken to at all [by the show's new owners, Prospect Park] and I have not told anyone that I am leaving. I don't know where that came from. The same story said that I'm tired of commuting between New York and L.A. For the record, I am not tired of commuting because I have never commuted — I live in Los Angeles now! I really do appreciate that people are taking an interest in me and Kendall and the future of the show," she adds. "But if they want to know, they should ask me!"
