This maybe unpopular but maybe@prospectpk should push back the start of prod on both #AMC & #OLTL Til Jan 2012 For a March Launch...???

Personally I don't think thats as unpopular as you might think. It would probably serve both shows well.

@JewellAMCFAN Doing great, Jewell. I'm concerned Prospect Park is indeed putting AMC on backburner. Wish the fans would pull out their mojo!

Yep and Cam said tonight PP has deals to work out still so thats why I think If They say were gonna start filming Mid Jan to air in March that would help a lot

I admit, I'm still not all that sold that they are that much more ahead with OLTL. I know in some respects they are---more actors (though with the group they have so far it would be an odd cast) plus Frank and Ron and less of a break between the show ending and online launch, but the lack of any real word about if OLTL will even have a network send off in mid january (which we knew by at least July lots of deatils about with AMC), etc...

The hold up I believe is AFTRA With The Miniums they will pay. Since PP has said they want to air online, on demand and cable, PP is probably trying to work with AFTRA on a sliding scale with was not done before. Basically that means PP would agree to pay no less than X amount But No more than X amount per episode. That could be the hold up

Is anyone else annoyed that Rosie O'Donnell's on there? LOL

Eh, i dont really think she deserves to be on there, but i dont think its a big deal. Shes just out of a little corner there and didnt her maid recurr for a bit, not just one apperance?

I'm not sure. All I know is Janet/Natalie and some other infamous couples deserved to be on there more lol

I have both on tape somewhere--one year she was a replacement maid, then a short Valentine's Day later she was back working at a flower shop (with Myrtle?) I'm not a big fan but they were cute cameos and fun, I thought. ANd as you say it's just a tiny almost inside joke (though poor Winnifred was probably ball gagged and tied up by Rosie in a closet somewhere...)

I think they should go ahead an launch OLTL if they can. If it's successful then they can put some energy into AMC. If it tanks then they can adjust.

Exactly what form would she like this "mojo" to take? Half the actors aren't even interested.

If the issue is the AFTRA deal and Minimums for each venue, Web, On Demand & TV then both shows wont happen until a deal with AFTRA is reached regardless of how many actors are signed

Now if The AFTRA deal is in place and Its AMC actors all wanting small contracts then sorry its on them and they are shooting their own show in the foot. PP is a company that needs actors long term to make this show work. Yes ABC F---ed U but PP is not ABC. Its time in that case to move on and let PP recast etc or sign on and take a chance. Thats all this is, A chance. Nothing is guaranteed except death & taxes.

I don't think its fair to blame the actors. THats the same tactic some have been trying to use with Lucci not signing on that the show is dead without her trying to turn the fans against her putting the blame on her. If these people know how to produce shows and want to do AMC, there are enough AMC vets available and out of work soap actors with fanbases to recast with or to fill new roles tying them to whatever vets they could get like Brooke or maybe Nina. I don't see why PP thinks that people like RB, AM are so critical if they are part of the reason. They should be bending over backwards for Lucci IMO. If anyone is a must have its her.

As for the unions, they have AFTRA and the WGA to deal with so I would hope despite reports to the contrary things are progressing in some fashion. I am shocked no one has asked any of the actors where the AFTRA negotiations stand. The union typically keeps their members appraised of where negotiations are at in these type of situations.
