Angela, As for DV's popularity and status as a leading lady, I definitely agree with you but I could chalk that up as well to SOD exaggerating the importance of a character and actress.

I don't see it, I'd give them maybe doing it with very popular, maybe, BUT not with leading lady. I think it's most likely a case of over-exaggeration with Budig in terms of the movie and the role. Also with Vasi, she's reported recently that Prospect Park hasn't contacted her and SOD made it sounds like this was a person in negotiations who wasn't exactly all over the negotiations.

If that is the case then I'm really about the get worried because who cares about fast? Wait one hour to put out a decent press release that reaches a heck of a lot more people and media outlets than having Lindsay Hartley tweeting it. I hope for PP's sake that LH jumped the gun and announced it without consulting with them first.

Right. She could have just run her mouth before they typed up an official release. It's no secret that so many fans are thirsty as hell so who can blame her...

Yeah, it would be nice to believe Lindsay Hartley just jumped the gun in terms of reporting it (not on the validity, I don't question the validity) because I'd like to think Prospect Park would want to put out press releases on these things first.

I can't.

In Africa or South America on a project helping people who've suffered from the same virus that caused her blindness is the only way to go until we get Debbi back.

I doubt they will kill Angie off. I see her ending up in Paris helping Cassandra through some kind of "crisis" in an extension of the same thing we saw when Debbi took her sick leave. They can claim she's on the no-fly list like they did with Bianca.

Debbi said in SOD or SOW that she'd like to see Angie go and help kids in other countries

They can get away with doing the Angie's away on a trip thing for at least a year. At the end of the year, if AMC has been relaunched and is doing okay, maybe they can work out something with Debbi if things have taken a sour turn at Y&R.

Sorry but I dont need an official press release for every move PP makes. Do Days, GH etc give PR's everytime someone joins the cast. NOPE its usually leaked to a another party who posts it, wheter it be a mag or soap blog

When these shows have someone join SID, SOD normally gets the drop and its in their magazine. WHo do you think drops it to the mags? Not the actors. THe shows do.

But forget the unprofessionalism and disrespect, how about the people who don't goto message boards, or follow Lindsay Hartley or go to online soap sites. You know the thousands of people PP needs engaged to watch these shows. Most of them are not following LH on twitter.

Debbi will be lucky to be on Y&R a year from now, if she is, she'll most likely be seen once every other month

So far she's not awful. Thats a plus on Y&R these days.

Jane If fans dont follow online than how are they gonna see the Press Release. PP would release it and it would go online first. It wouldnt hit the mags for like 2 weeks. So It would be at least two weeks before non onliners would know. I dont get ur arguement

Remember JY saying they had an email chain/group for the AMC crew to keep people appraised of goings ons. He sounded like he was still part of that list. Maybe thats how LH found out.

The ones who aren't online might subscribe to soap mags, which has news like this normally. Ones who don't, I'm sure hears from word of mouth, cause they might have family or friends who do go online or read soap mags

Part of good marketing is not only releasing information but managing and controlling the release of it.

I am not going to justify how I feel and how unprofessional I think some of this is. I am happy about Darnell but not how they dealt with Lucci thats for sure.

JA, I agree. He did seem to still be part of the chain and that is probably how she found out. I think some of us are a little off put by Prospect Park because they're not really pimpin' it all out on social media and well in terms of AMC there hasn't been much progress. I understand that but I also don't think they're bad guys for that.
