I am not surprised by TC's decision. It matches something TSJ said about being time to find outside work. I think most soap actors must face there's no long-term security anymore in soaps and they need to branch out.

Terri Conn I think based on how long she's been around has to be in her late 30's and while not ancient by any means, in Hollywood thats a tad old to start branching out for a woman especially as sexist as that may sound. Late 20's early 30's yes. But its true there is no job security in this genre anymore so people need to look elsewhere. I would think some of these folks have other sources of income also and other business ventures.

It'll be fun to see Lucci playing a new character.

Just picked up SOW...

Terri Conn "I'm not getting any younger and if I'm going to do it, I've got to do it now, just to see if there is anything else out there for me that might have more longevity." She says she wants to stay in N.Y. and that is where she'll persue work. "I've been tied to a contract for 13-14 years, so I'm excited to go out and try the other stuff."

Jerry verDorn goes on and on about how great Prospect Park is. He agreed to a 4-year contract. He's happy they wanted him. Ten days after PP talked to the cast they bought all the wardrobe and sets which is a lot of money. He talks about watching AMC or OLTL whenever you want on whatever you want. He seems rather confident AMC and OLTL will also air on a cable network like BRAVO. He discusses the deal with UMG. He explains that the viewer can immediately buy the music if say Clint is in a scene and there's background music on the viewer likes.

Kristen Alderson is still talking to PP but reports indicate she's planning to move to L.A. David Gregory is in discussions.

Studio, "we may be going to the studio that produces ROYAL PAINS...This might be our new home next year in Long Island City, the other side of the Midtown Tunnel."

There's no real need for Starr at this point, although I do still like some of her scenes with Todd and Blair. I always assumed one of the reasons they created Dani (beyond RC wanting to even the score and give Tea/Todd a child) was because they knew KA wasn't staying around too long.

I love JVD but Cameron Mathison is not a good look for him.

Jezz cant actors be excited about Prospect Park without eing touted as a company person or get made fun off. UGH

Jerry ver Dorn has done this for a long time. He was GL's spokesman for years until they foolishly discarded him. That's just how he is. I don't think he's trying to con people or anything.

My buddy just pointed this out to me. I wonder if this is what SOD was talking about - it was updated into IMDb on 10/8. Rebecca Budig has a role in an upcoming independent film (Bad Parents) starring Janeane Garofalo, Cheri Oteri, Chris Titus and Kristen Johnston. It's a black comedy about parents and a girls soccer team. Here's the Facebook page with some pics of Budig:

ETA:

This was the exact wording in SOD...

"One of AMC's most popular leading ladies is in contention for a major film role, which would, of course, further decrease the odds of Prospect Park convincing her to remain with the show."

No.

Next question?

Oh I don't think he's trying to con anyone and I do believe he's genuinely "excited" to keep working. Every workplace has people like this. People who are just so excited that the vending machine will have healthy snacks or just thrilled for the new filtering software on the computers. They work my nerves in the real world too. LOL! Like I said, I have nothing against JVD. I love the guy but reading his comments about PP is like listening to my mom tell me how cool it is that she got an email from a Nigerian prince.

I see your point, but I think he's only made one or two interviews on the subject. If he thought it was a bad venture I don't think he'd say anything.

It's probably her. Greenlee can be in a coma until the movie is done shooting.

Cheri Oteri + Rebecca Budig...wow, 2012 is the end of the world isn't it.

The movie will probably complete taping in a month or two, if even. It started on 10/9. Considering AMC 2.0 has only signed two cast members so far, the unsigned cast members could probably continue flming things through March 2012 and still be there for the beginning of production.
