I think of it this way, when LB took over, she thought she was just becoming HW, she didn't know she was going to be writing the end. I really doubt Frons gave her the consideration of telling her the show was cancelled when he promoted her. So I think(and hope) things will improve int the coming weeks when she actually did start writing like the show was going to be ending and not continuing

No offense, but anyone who assumed/assumes LB as HW = perfect (or just good) shows every day was just too excited to see reason.
