My stomach sank when Jack Wagner debuted as Nick. I could tell he was being set up as the front-burner alternate love interest for Brooke. I knew that the focus would be on him and that it would cause me to stop watching, which indeed it did. IIRC Nick was grumpy and not charismatic at all. No chemistry with KKL but we viewers were supposed to be enchanted.

A comment on 2003: I've always had a problem with the way Rick just dumped Amber. Amber was dealing with the trauma of losing two children of her own and was CLEARLY having a nervous breakdown after losing custody of Little Eric, but instead of recognizing she needed help to get through it, he vilifies her, blames her completely without recognizing his part in it, and just leaves her in the dust. Husband of the year!

Here’s a very rare tv commercial for Finnish audience. Does anyone know if they made identical commericals or something for other European tv channels?

Not actively watching the 2003 episodes (still going over late 1996), but this turned up in my recommendations. The most unintentionally hilarious episode of all time, with cheesy shoestring budget action scenes that make me howl with laughter. Especially Massimo roaring while kicking his motorcycle over a thug

It also seems the show was trying to go for an Amber/Deacon/Bridget triangle, which I seem to have forgotten, it’s just a shame it never went anywhere (especially as Amber/Deacon redux could have kept the Little Eric custody storyline relevant for a while longer)

YES! To me, this is THE funniest scene in the history of the show. The last four minutes or so of this episode are pure so-bad-it's-good perfection. Massimo with the motorcycle, the badly choreographed fighting, Brooke in the cauldron, Ridge doing cartwheels into the furnace, Sheila sneaking off while whispering "Goodbye Ridge"...
