Taylor or Elliot should win.

Chris is good but he bores me because he ALWAYS sings the SAME song. I mean this week it was like the exact same type of song. PICK SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

Katharine is my underdog. My girl. I agree she seems a bit snobbish, but eh ... lol.

I don't know how people can say Chris always sings the same songs-he has sang ballads/slower songs like 3 times this season. If anyone should be accused of singing the same songs all the time its Elliot. I like him don't get me wrong but he lacks a great deal of personality and stage presence. His vocals are amazing but he also has no fanbase-he will be gone next week for sure unless someone really stinks next week.

Taylor is good performance wise but his tricks are wearing thin with me. His vocals leave alot to be desired and are good enough for top 3 but not to reach the finale.

Katherine I can't see as snobbish but as taking what the judges say with a grain of salt. In the beginning, she listened to them and wasn't cocky but lately the judges have been out of it when it comes to judging her. Last week they all bashed her and then apologized for wrongly doing so and this week Simon didn't even know what he was saying and had to go back and explain himself. She probably figures they don't know what the hell they are saying so why bother  The snobbish argument was used a great deal with Carrie last year too because she did come off like that since she was always perfect vocally with a little mistake here and there. Katherine hasn't been perfect but she has been consistent with a bad song once in a while but her vocals are fantastic and, like Simon said, they are so good I think people get turned off by them. She deserves to be in the finale with Chris-both of them have the criteria of what makes the American Idol: the look, vocals, stage presence, comfortable on stage and on camera, consistency, can sing more then one genre (yes Chris has proven that), and there are no gimmicks (*cough* Taylor *cough*).

If its not Chris/Kat in the finale then AI once again missed the boat after having it right last year.

Sorry to see Paris go! Taylor (the ol' drunk, lol) or Elliott ( I like him but this was his worst week so far) should've gone.

Katharine is not snobbish at all. I don't see that at all. She admitted she didn't do "Against All Odds" very good. A snob would've said they did it great lol!! Just because you don't like a performer doesn't mean you have to make things up about them.

EXACTLY!!!!!! :D Great post Phoenix!

I don't get all the Katharine love. She is not as good Paris IMO. She made Scott Savol's version of Against All Odds sound like a masterpiece. It's one thing to maybe do a bland version ie Elliott, but to totally butcher a song like that is not AI material.

I want Elliot to win. I really, really do. I may actually vote this week to try and keep him around, even if it means Katharine goes. I love her to death though.

I'm not really all that set on Chris winning anymore. I was okay with it for a while but now I want to see Elliot or even Taylor win this thing. Chris will have loads of other opportunities with bands, so I think it'd mean more to Elliot, Taylor and Kat.

Loved the theme tonight-Elvis is great. Ryan is gonna get into some hot water after that Paula comment about her dancing and him offering up a dollar.

Taylor-Sick of him. The vocals suck and the dancing is same old as usual and getting old fast. That second performance was nothing amazing. Its a singing competition and he should leave but he won't so see ya next week Taylor.

Chris- Frist song was awesome and the second song had a great ending but the beginning was flat. He should be fine though-loved that he showed personality.

Elliot- His first song was meh but his second song was amazing. I have been saying for week that he needs to switch his style and he did with that second song and he finally wowed me. Best vocal of the night with that second song but it may have been for nothing.

Katherine- Her first performance wasn't horrible vocal wise but I don't think that is bad. She always sings the same thing and this was a nice change of pace to get attention so it may have helped and some may have liked it. Her second song was pretty good-it wasn't as bad as the judges said it was. The vocals were fine by me even though it wasn't her best. She is in danger though.

I came into this week saying Elliot was gone no matter what and I still beleive that. I do think Katherine is in danger though and maybe Chris because his songs weren't as big this week in terms of attention grabbing but I doubt he will go out. It will be between Kat and Elliot and I still think Elliot despite his amazing second performance.

    • Oh wow. After reading your post, I realized that they had "Carl Ivati" in the script AGAIN yesterday June 6.    Eva said she was reading his latest, and Tomas said "Work's been so busy, I haven't had time to get into his new series". Then Eva proceeds to tell him that "the first book is called 'Mercy and Goodness' and it's all about how the couple first met and how they got separated".   She goes on and on about how great it is. And she says she has the book in her hotel room if he wants to borrow it. She says it has twists and turns. And meanwhile Kat is snooping in Eva's room to look for the helmet and gloves, and finds the book and dismisses it as "basic". I saw that whole scene -- but I wasn't paying attention to the name of the author.  And when Tomas said the name, I heard it in his accent so I didn't hear "carlivati".  II was mainly trying to see if the acting had improved with the actor playing Tomas, and I think he has improved somewhat.   I only see it when typed out. So they had several scenes yesterday about a "Carl Ivati" book?  Barf! Well at least Kat had the good sense to dismiss it as "basic". Ron Carlivati wrote the breakdown yesterday!   Featuring himself in it! Addressing to the collective "you" whoever you may be: Some of you, months ago, said Oh Ron is only doing breakdowns.  The story comes from MVJ, so he won't influence things, you said. May 27 started it, with Christopher Dunn breakdown and Lynn Martin script. But they didn't need to continue it June 6 with Carlivati breakdown and Jazmen Darnell Brown script.
    • I was completely lost. But it is wonderful that it exists. I didn't really know Robert Mandan had done soaps...well, besides SOAP.
    • Jack and Jennifer are tired. I just don't care about them when they return. They add nothing to the show.
    • Did they really bring back Jack and Jennifer for Jack to prop up Leo and Jenn to serve as an obstacle to Chad/Cat? Are we sure Ron still isn't in the building?
    • We can only hope that they finally kill off Leo too
    • We can only hope that maybe the new writers might read this.
    • You can get so many storylines from a Will/Sonny/Paul/Andrew/Dimitri mess And I'm sure Colton would do a great job

    • Sounds interesting. Too bad we never got that story.
