January 9, 201214 yr Member I enjoy the show but after watching soaps and primetime soaps for so long...I'm just bored. There aren't enough characters. Since the show is coming from writers of LOST, I expected a bloated cast of about 14 regulars. This show has what, seven? I think it would help if they actually used the recurring people they have more effectively. For instance, Ruby is extremely hot and intriguing and yet she's just serving coffee and offering up one line of dialogue per episode. And killing off Graham really pissed me off since he was a good character and now there's just one less face on screen per episode. Oh and by seven characters I mean six, the shrink/Jiminy Cricket is NEVER relevant lol. I would agree with that if the rest of the characters were as interesting as the main struggle between Emma and Regina. I would like to see more background on Regina, why she got to be "Evil," (which I am sure is coming) how she gained her powers, etc. Ruby is hot, but that really is about it...she is hot and loves her Grandma and serves coffee (and hangs out with Pongo) I find myself bored when the focus is off Regina and Emma and now Rumpy.
January 16, 201214 yr Member Krycek first Elliot Ness on Supernatural then on OUAT. Gretal clearly is the one with all the smarts not Hansel...lol The witch's house looked yummy.
January 17, 201214 yr Member I think this my 2nd favorite show of this year behind AHS. I love this show!

LOL..yea, poor Hansel (I kept thinking of the Bugs Bunny one, "Han-sel, Han-sel, HANSEL???" ) not the brightest bulb should have taken the EQ up but I think she would have tired of him quickly. Anyone else think that Regina has almost as big a baby obsession as Rumple? She wanted Emma for her own, wanted to have these kids, adopted Henry....any bets the "secret," that Snow told led her to loose her baby and now she can't have any? I just wish they would start redeeming Regina a bit in the real world. She still is holding a grudge with those kids, even after raising Henry and kind of understanding kids, etc. Would have liked her to have been the one to hook Emma up with the dad's wearabouts but he doesnt want them and they were forced to call DCFS. I just like my bad girls with a little bit of heart and it makes them scarier when they are indeed bad. Good episode, as usual have to kind of gloss over the jumps in logic (why couldnt EQ sent her guards into the house to get the apple, why doesnt she just throw a flaming thing through the mirror at Snow?) but love some of the lines, "I smell dinner," the gravy one, and lol at EQ spying on Snow in her mirror, "Now she is living with a bunch of trolls, when did this happen???" Could we see Rumple getting some redemption helping Emma or is this another trick?

January 30, 201214 yr Member I really enjoyed this last episode of OUAT. Poor Genie played by the Queen and Emma gets it in the neck from Regina. I can't help wondering if Sidney is playing Regina though.
January 30, 201214 yr Member I'm tired of "good" or basically Emma and Henry constantly losing out to Regina. It's getting REALLY stale. I thought the episode was really interesting though. The Evil Queen and the writers totally fooled me into thinking Sidney was the one she loved and lost or whatever and blamed Snow White for. Edited January 30, 201214 yr by alexisfan07
January 30, 201214 yr Member I'm tired of "good" or basically Emma and Henry constantly losing out to Regina. It's getting REALLY stale. I am begining to feel the same way and it is only half way through the first season. I cannot imagine getting through 3 or 4 more seasons of the overarching plot spinning in one place to delay the inevitable revelation to the major characters. Edited January 30, 201214 yr by Ann_SS
January 31, 201214 yr Author Administrator I really liked last night's episode - nice to see and episode focused on Giancarlo Esposito/Sydney/Magic Mirror. Loved the origin of the magic mirror, that he used to be a genie and he put himself in there! "It looks like you got your wish. You will be with me....forever" *evil grin* LOL I too thought the Queen was in love with the Genie but she was just playing him. Glad to see the ratings going up. It's sure to get renewed for a 2nd season. *knock on wood*

LP is so great at making us not HATE this horrible woman, that it would be great if every once in a while Regina's soft side was real, and not a con to trick an enemy. And for once and for all I would love to know what she feels for Henry!!! I had thought that Regina being stuck in "reality," and stranded with little to no powers would make her be more human..which is what would finally break the curse, not annoying Emma.
February 8, 201214 yr Member I still can't get into this show. I thought it was going to be fun, adorkable and quirky as "Pushing daisies", but it gets on my nerve every now and then. Plus, I really can't buy Jennifer Morrison as the daughter of Snowhite and her Prince. And the kid is annoying as hell.
February 13, 201213 yr Member I love this show...love love love. RE: The number of characters... the show has a lot, I think they are just slowly fleshing them out for future use in major stories. Can't focus on so many in a once a week format, unlike soaps where you can do multiple storylines at once because there is more time., LOST did the same thing as each person got a backstory one at a time for each episode, but then end of the season there were maybe 8 (Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Locke, Walt/Michael, Claire, Charlie, Sun/Jin... did I forget anyone?). So far they've done the Queen/Regina, Rumple/Mr. Gold, Genie/Mirror/Sidney, Jiminy Cricket/Archie, Snow/Mary Margaret, Charming/David, Ashley/Cinderella, Hansel/Gretel/Ava/Nicholas, Huntsman/Graham, plus they touched on Abigal/Kathryn and we've met some others like Belle in this episode.
March 12, 201213 yr Member Great episode. The first one to hold my attention in a long time. I was completely surprised that Red was the wolf. I did not see that twist coming. Poor Peter, torn apart and eaten alive. Edited March 12, 201213 yr by Ann_SS
March 12, 201213 yr Author Administrator I enjoyed the episode too and was surprised that Red turned out to be the wolf - that was a nice twist. I thought that the red hood outfit being magic was interesting too. I guess Granny got it from Rumple. Nice to see Meghan Ory/Ruby/Red finally get her episode.
