Is the older woman they show on her own at one point supposed to be Ceara's mother?

Holy crap, Kate and Louis (from Loving) are there! I knew Jeremy and Cerea had been to Corinth but didn't know any Loving characters had crossed over for this.

It's the infamous Geoffrey Beene wedding dress. Ceara's dress got so much publicity back then. I didn't think it was anything special.

I always hated Gloria for the most part. The only time I didn't mind her was when she was with Tad but then she had to ruin that by hooking up with Dimitri and I was over her again

I loved me some Gloria Marsh. I thought Teresa Blake was robbed of an Emmy nod during the time she played opposite David Canary. They both did some of their best work together.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of the Gloria/Dimitri pairing either. I was so intrigued by the Erica/Dimitri/Brooke triangle they hinted at in late 1998/early 1999. Don't get me wrong - I loved the Erica and David romance that blossomed that year, but I think I could have really enjoyed a triangle in which Erica tried to keep Dimitri and Brooke apart because she didn't like Brooke and gradually fell back in love with her ex, leaving Dimitri genuinely torn between both women.

ETA: Plus if they'd gone that route in 1999, they could have explored Edmund realizing that his ex might move on with his brother, and if Michael Nader hadn't been fired for a drug addiction, maybe we could have finally righted the wrong of the early 90s and had Erica and Brooke as sisters-in-law, living in the same house. I'm still bitter that never happened. I would have paid good money to watch Brooke and Erica live at Wildwind together. sad.png

Totally agree, plus the timing would have worked out for the characters to all be under the roof of Wildwind... and then had Maria return. It could have then caused a great quint-angle with emotions twirling all over the place among the group... instead of Maureen Gorman (while I thought had potential) turned into one of the worst returns in history.

Bethel Leslie played Claudia,Cerea's mother. She was the original Maggie Powers on the The Doctors and was headwriter at one time on Secret Storm.

So glad the aborted Tara/Chuck wedding still exists so that we can see this major event in early AMC history.

Carl, Sydney is the character seen with Anne at the Boutique here:

Thanks. I'm not sure I've ever seen any of the almost-wedding. Did it ever air on any of the reruns?

I'd forgotten she was in a surviving clip. I wouldn't have recognized her from the photo. I wonder if she ever had any stories.

And thanks for reading the articles.

Ceara was killed offscreen right??? I have lots of questions

Yes, well played by a double. I don't think they ever had a Ceara funeral or anything on Loving so I doubt she showed up[--I was a pretty faithful viewer by then.

I did love that Kate and Louie came to Jeremy and Ceara's wedding, it makes sense since she stayed at Kate's a few months before on Lovi9ng and helped get them back together.

Interesting it wasn't shown onscreen and it wasn't Genie playing her. I'm pretty fascinated hearing about the Loving/AMC crossovers
