MBJ and Amanda Seyfried had a mini reunion on the red carpet last night at the Critics’ Choice Awards. It was very sweet. Google it.

And Amanda posted this pic on her stories of them during their AMC days. Reggie and Joanie, my Shayla.

She also talked about their early All My Children days on Jimmy Fallon. I can't find the interview clip at the moment but she spoke fondly of her time on the show (and didn't trash McTavish like she did on CBS Sunday Morning lol).

For those keeping track of the family drama, Susan also offhandedly mentions having a multi-generational family dinner including her daughter following Helmut's death.

Susan is also appearing in the Apple film Outcome with Keanu Reeves and Jonah Hill this year(?), and talks about it here. Apparently Jonah Hill was an AMC fan.

I didn't interpret that dinner as something that was recent, but in the past prior to the estrangement. I was wondering if Susan would write about her current relationship with Liza, but she probably didn't include it in the book.

I took it as post-Helmut per their discussion, but I could be wrong.

Pardon me for being nosey af, but I'd still love to know why Susan and her daughter are estranged, especially when the two had appeared jointly to discuss Liza's son's cerebral palsy diagnosis.

The Susan/Liza thing is incredibly odd because as @Khan said, they did have a relationship. Two parts of the interview made me think of it: first was the chapter about being a working mother but only mentioning Andreas and then when she mentioned a friend who didn't go to Helmut's funeral, knowing Liza wasn't invited. It must be something huge to have caused such a huge rift.
