OLTL: Discussion for the week of April 4

I knew she was going to slap him but I figured it would just be over the video of Shane and what not. Boy, did Jack deserve that slap! I couldn't believe he said that about Marty. I was hoping Blair would make him tell that to crazy Marty who was in the hospital hallway, then she would go cuckoo on Jack's ass. LOL

I was worried when I read Blair would hit Jack because Blair would never hit her children but he deserved it for saying that!

Blair once wrestled Star in the living room of LaBoulae, complete with hair pulling.

Yeah, in a less sanitized version of this show I see Blair as someone who probably would hit her kids. Not beat them, but I can see her giving the occasional spanking.

I'm not sure what I thought of that slap. Yes, he had it coming, but I'm not sure you can teach someone not to be a bully by using physical force. Well, not if you are the person's parent anyhow. Blair has the money to hire a cadre of shrinks, and that's what she should do. ASAP.

Im trying so hard to remember but just can't. Do u remember why they were fighting?

I cant remember why. it was deinfetly when Starr was younger. I think it might have been one time when Blair had custody and was keeping the kids from Todd. Starr was misbehaving bc Blair wouldnt let her see her father and attacked Blair first. Blair engaged her and the two literally started wrestling right in the middle of the room. I beleive someone had to coem and break them up. I think this might have been why they were fighting but I definetly rememebr the scene

I have to say that I really appreciate Kassie DePaiva as an actress. She always comes across as an true entertainer to me . In a genre where too many actors sleep walk through their scenes, she always seems present and aware that her job is to keep people interested.

I'm not really a huge Blair fan. I think the character has been sacrificed on the alter of Todd Manning, but if it's true that OLTL is a goner, Kassie is one of the people I'll miss most. Still, I hate her for looking better at 50 than I do in my middle 30's.

I love Kassie too. Also, she's from my state (KY) and you can still tell she has her accent. I love it when she gets all Southern on people. Just love it.

I've only come to truly appreciate her recently. I feel like she's old school and tries to give her best to the audience. I feel the same way about ES and RS. They actually deign to perform, unlike so many soap stars who come across as entitled and above it all. I think the character of Blair has really grown recently, but I hate that she is sitting vigil at Todd's bedside. Yes, she should care about the father of her kids, but I want better for her than a freaking rapist.

Kassie/Blair

I'd haved turned Jack over my knee and tanned his hide.

He's right though Not!Todd would be proud of him for bullying Jack

Kassie has really grown into an underrated tentpole character & actress over the years.

Yep and she deserves so much more than Todd. With better writing Kassie could really shine. Not to say that I am anti Todd. I actually think that the character is necessary to the show. Villains are always needed, imo, but Blair deserves something better. She slapped Jack for excusing Todd's criminal behavior, but she has accepted it herself and defended him time and again.

John Paul is just as bad or worse. He can't act s hit.

They both suck pretty hard. This storyline is beyond their abilities, imo.
