Members Y&RWorldTurner
It's amazing that 20+ years later, that commercial still holds up for that perfume... Every woman over 25 owns that perfume, I'm sure of it.
Members dragonflies
I remember my cousin just had to have that perfume when it came out
Members DRW50
It says a lot about her charisma, as the commercial itself is kind of bizarre (hey, a big star is going to give out her jewelry in a backstreet poker game). I loved her cameo on The Nanny. Fran: Can I just touch...? Liz: NO! This was back when CBS' Monday night sitcoms (I think it was Monday) were waning, and Liz agreed to appear on all four of them if they would plug her products. Very few actors would have that much pull that a network would have them go to each show in an interwoven storyline.

Members Y&RWorldTurner
Most people laughed at this a decade ago, but I remember being very worried about her mental state at the time. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/MGT-NUBNTZc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Kind of screwing up another presentation, after the streaking incident at the 1974 Oscar's. Members dragonflies
This is effing disgusting: http://www.gossipcop.com/elizabeth-taylor-funeral-westboro-baptist-church-protest-margie-phelps/ The Westboro Baptist Church plans to protest Elizabeth Taylor’s funeral. Margie Phelps, the WBC’s lawyer and daughter of leader Fred Phelps, announced the group’s intention on Twitter. Known for their vile message of “God Hates F*gs” and policy of disturbing the bereaved, the “Church” now intends to disrupt Taylor’s ceremony due to her ardent HIV/AIDS activism and “enabling” of gays. We’re at a loss for words. Taylor died early today at 79.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
That's really nasty. I hope those people get struck by a truck as they're protesting her funeral.

Members DRW50
Debbie Reynolds says she spoke to Elizabeth Taylor a few weeks ago. These ladies changed celebrity culture forever (and in Debbie's case it was probably her peak of fame), so I'm glad they were able to part on decent terms. http://www.people.com/people/package/article/0,,20261725_20475792,00.html

Members DRW50
There used to be a clip, maybe there still is, of Carol Burnett in hysterics, as she was completely surprised about Elizabeth doing this.
