I always knew he'd turn out like Jason one way or the other. I think they did initially plan to have him be an even more out of control Jason (from spring/summer 1996), but then they took it too far with Claudia's killing; the recasting and the Abby story seem like attempts to make him more like the more messianic Jason of 1998-present.

I guess getting raped kinda changes a person. He was pretty much set into being a violent criminal like those who raised him but that single event kinda steered him in a different path. I feel he now has some hope
