All: One soaps budget cut by 50% according to DC

Well, Days didn't do that exactly. They dumped Jack, Jennifer quit, all the Lockharts, Tek, Austin and Carrie, Nicole, and then Billie, Shawn and Belle, the 90210 guy, Steve and Kayla and finally Marlena, John and Tony. But they kept Bo, Hope, and Sami and none of those three can be too cheap.

GH has to keep somebody people associate with the show. They should fire two of the four you mention I think, and retool around the other two surrounded by cheap newbies.

You're confusing 2006 with the 40% cut in late 2008/early 2009.

Changes, yes, improvement? Highly doubtful. It will definitely be interesting to see just how big a bloodbath occurs.

50% makes me wonder if they can even afford to keep Bob Guza.

If McTavish goes back to any show I wonder if it would end up being GH.

McTavish has been HW-ing for 20 years now. I'd think that she would cost as much, if not more, than Guza.

Though I can't stand AMC, I'm glad it wasn't that show or OLTL. In fact, I don't know why anyone thought it wouldn't be GH.

Although I think OLTL's nothing but a blatant gay camp shiitfest, I knew it wasn't that show or AMC. I agree that I thought it was obvious that it was going to be GH. Of the three, it's allegedly the one with the biggest budget which means they'd get more out that.
