Okay, so I was two days behind and I'm catching up. I'm halfway through today's.

Have to say, I really, really like Sofia a lot. Julia Pace Mitchell seemed so uncomfortable in the beginning, but she's really come into her own and was good in those scenes today. I'm glad they use her pretty frequently, and I hope this storyline keeps going.

GO Ashley! Damn, I'd love to see her and Nick team up and try to get shared custody of Faith! Hallelujah, that would make my LIFE.

Sharon had the goddamn ballsy nerve to say "This is none of your business." Bitch, PLEASE!

Not gonna lie, i am sort of looking forward to Mondays show, since they showed Katherine slapping Jill during the previews. How many times has that happen ever the years? the one other time i have seen Jill get slapped by Katherine was before they started fighting in the attic.

If this show had a LICK of sense, they'd snap up Kyle Lowder and bring Rick Forrester over to resume his romance with Ash. Yes, I know KL generally sucks, but Rick and Ash were HOT.

*giggling at their smush name...RAsh*

Oh please don't give them any ideas. I cringe at the thought of Kyle Lowder, Jeff Branson, Eden Riegel, Julia Pace Mitchell, Darius McCrary, Amelia Heinle, and Billy Miller in a scene all together.

What this show needs more of is that other "Kyle"- GigglyKyle, the best damn character on the show. THIS lil guy:

For the first time I actually find the Cane/Lily/Winters story mildly interesting. Finally seeing the St. Cane of Latham going down is part of it but the other part is Colin and Jill are so fun. Too bad we don't see Jill slapping old St. Katherine around either. Its funny she brought up Murphy who of course didn't even tell Katherine about his son, secret family, Meggie etc. Actually, watching Sophia tell NotMalcolm off was funny too.

It's really hard to buy into Lily's pain when she has to utter ridiculousness like "when he told me he wasn't Phillip---I forgave him."

I don't know what was (unintentionally) funnier---Malcolm's "Peace!" caio to Sophia or her screaming and throwing her hands up when "in the path" of some kind of vehicle. That's it---fire her, fire her now. There's another homegirl in town, and her name is Leslie Michaelson. There's a chick who could have pulled off Sophia's sudden "step off bitch" scenes with Malcolm and Tucker.

Speaking of---anyone else find Nichols' choices odd today? He goes from threatening Sophia with jail to near crying? Puhleeze.

And WTF was with Sharon's JackieO! look? YIKES.

Always. Just a repeat of Tucker not being allowed inside Katherine's hospital room.

Salt of the earth, elderly, (devoted husband) Murphy, and (devoted son)shirt-off-my-back, saint Brock, are the mean bullies blocking access to (revengeful son)Tucker-powerful corporate raider. Someone needs to review the character descriptions.

    • During Taggert Alan mentions Amanda as his "daughter" while that most likely is a writers slip up, I like to think it was a retcon. They never have Alex, on any of her frequent trips back mention Amanda as my sister, etc. I know they just want to forget it and Amanda was probematic in her marriage to Roger (i.e. MADD's decree that Roger will never be mentioned again..) Again, they could have easily brought her back with a handwave from Alex or Alan saying it was a trick from Brandon.   There is Amanda, AM and ALL the various offspring Phillip created. Plus head of family means head of Spaulding.   I would have thought it interesting if Phillip becomes more like Alan (but in the gray area he always was, not outright cartoon villain RR Alan) and AM comes back with more of his Bauer coming out and wanting to do things on the up and up..maybe AM became a lawyer like his grandfather in the missing years...and Amanda could play both sides against the other.  But also they could have brought someone like Kyle Sampson back to rival Phillip and the Spaulding (maybe Amanda married him) but then, of course there would be ANOTHER man horning after long in the tooth Reva!
    • Those descriptions of Mary Carney-- from Michael Levin --were from a magazine article in the early 1980's. In the book, he did say all three Mary replacements were bad.
    • ^^ KKL always looks fabulous.

    • Sometimes you don't have friends as much as you have family. I'm trying to remember if Dylan really had a guy  friend. He and Mindy finally became friends after a rough introduction, and he interacts with Hart#1 and A-M#1, but I'm not sure they're really "friends". Maybe David. Whereas with Bridget, because there aren't a lot of Reardons around, gets friends like Kat and David.
    •   Well at least KKL looks fabulous. https://wornontv.net/511536/

    • There was something about her being kidnapped by a Professor (?) and then presumed dead when Judi Evans left. Then somehow she ends up with Neil Everest with amnesia and being mute. Beth Chamberlain doesn't say a thing for like her first three months on the show. I sort of agree that Phillip should've been head of the family. But there's not a lot of family for him to be "head" of. Unless they could've found a better recast for Alan, I'd have been okay with him dying earlier. What Phillip really needed was an equal rival. Whether it was in the family or outside the family. And other than Roger and the first go-round with VI as Lujack, he never really had one. I'm hesitant to call Chris Bernau's Alan a rival, but he certainly was a source of conflict in Phillip's life.

    • We're getting an actual personality and flaws for Ashley... so it's a good start.  I'm guessing that Derek is her first serious relationship and I think she's falling out of love with Derek.. just hasn't accepted that realization as of yet. I agree that the show was diving headfirst into an Andre/Ashley pairing in the first handful of episodes, but they backed off of it and I have two theories: - Andre/Dani had a rapport/chemistry.  Probably more so than MVJ or the writers anticipated so the show is probably exploring that avenue. - Based on the character template that Ashley was created from... having her stray with Andre would have been out of character and caused the audience to hate her so the show is now weaving in reasons why Ashley might be looking Andres way (i.e. grass is greener on the other side, inexperience, Derek being too basic/vanilla).
    • Has anyone watched the Texas reunion interview? I haven't gotten to it yet although it'll probably mean more to the people who watched the show at the time.
