I wish someone would tell Sharon STFU. The woman is clearly delusional, calling Nick out and saying Faith would "hate" him from keeping her from her mother---when her mother is shacking up in a ratty motel with HER KIDNAPPER.

And what pisses me off is that I just know this custody thing will all boil down to Vic's plotting against Adam, when that's not the issue at all.

Im surprised they went as far back as the Cameron and Diego stuff bc that happened years ago. Im interested in hearing what the article says and what Sharon Case's response is. Ive always been a fan of the character but I find her so hard to watch these days bc the writing for her is ridiculous and she's turned into such a stupid slut with dumb decision after the other. Yet, she's still supposed to be the show's heroine. Love that SoW is calling Y&R out on it

Yep...I would hope there's another eppy with her, but it's iffy.

I haven't read the article, and I don't blame SC if she's tired of the Perils of Pauline stories. However, TIIC are writing stories her ass can't cash. I think she's a horrible actress. TIIC may regret having Sharin' do her daughter's kidnapper. There are lines that just can't be uncrossed. IIC always think any controversy is good. That's just not the case. If it was, GL and Jammy would still be on the air.

Worse things than terrorizing a mentally unstable, pregnant woman, causing her to fall down the stairs, throwing her fetus into the fireplace, and having her examined by a gyno who rapes his patients?

Doesn't Sharon Case ever wonder if it's good for her character to constantly be defined by a man? That means she can, and probably will, be replaced.

Wow...I know actors have to defend their characters POV, but DAYUM, that is just messed up. Yes, a few characters have done stuff that's on par with Adam's villiany, but for the most part, they're dead or in the looney bin. People owe her and Adam an apology?? OMG. I doubt Adam's ever apologize to anyone other than her, and that was to get in her pants. And I don't see why Nick or anyone else should simply wait for her to get her head screwed on straight.

Adam not only separated Sharin' from her daughter, he plotted to separate Nick from his other two children by framing him for murder. DUH.

I'm guessing that the "everybody in that town has done far worse things than Adam has done" isn't suppose to be literal. Like when a teenager says "but everyone's doing it".

It's sad that what happened to Ashley has been swept under the rug. Kind of like how Kevin (statutory) raped Lily and hired Alex to attack her yet people only care about Colleen until Adrianne played her.

Damn SC loves her pairing so much she can't even be objective. Its not about how many other wrongdoers there are in GC or this frame up, Adam stole your character's baby after he got another one killed. That should be an issue no matter what. Girl bye. Hell I like Shadam but even I know Sharon looks a mess being with Adam.

It makes the character look like a damn fool. Have you noticed that you hear less and less people say that being with Adam will make Sharon "stronger"? That's because Adam, like all of the show's main men, will never tolerate a strong woman. The whole premise of this relationship would go out the window. Sharon is a birdbrain who lives to show everyone his goodness. Of course he isn't actually good, because that would be boring in the show's mind, but he was falsely accused of something, so who cares about what he actually did? This is the same type of rotgut story they wrote for Victor with that forged diary a few years ago.

It's just more of the usual throwing crap against a wall. They burned through "Shick" and "Phick" so now, because of the heavy promotion of "Shadam" by the actors and the interest from some of the fans, they are pushing this, but it's as empty as anything else.

Relationships are not interesting without a strong woman, and those are anathema on Y&R. Sharon can only ever be weak with Adam, and yet that means Adam will use and discard her soon enough, because on Y&R, a man is not a man unless he uses and dumps women. If they do stay together the only story will probably be Sharon becoming obsessed with a Shadam baby.

I don't think I've seen your posts before. Who are your favorites at the moment?

    •     In a video intetview, it was Richard Backus (Barry) who said Sarah told everyone off at her goodbye party.                                       On the Soapnet forum, it was Sean, the MemoryBook webmaster ( he also posts here)  who told us Sarah had been fired. Everyone on the board was shocked. For some reason noobody recalled that. In more recent years, it's been easier to find old press clippings that show that her dismissal was announced in newspapers and magazines.            Sean also told us that many of Sarah's castmates were not sorry to see her go. One of the columns about her firing in 1980 said that Sarah "raised the ire" of her co-workers.                                    On the SN board, we were told that Sarah would speak negatively about the show to the press. For example, she reportedly criticized the show for dumping the Pat/Nancy interfaith storyline.  The network didn't like Sarah speaking out like that

    • During Taggert Alan mentions Amanda as his "daughter" while that most likely is a writers slip up, I like to think it was a retcon. They never have Alex, on any of her frequent trips back mention Amanda as my sister, etc. I know they just want to forget it and Amanda was probematic in her marriage to Roger (i.e. MADD's decree that Roger will never be mentioned again..) Again, they could have easily brought her back with a handwave from Alex or Alan saying it was a trick from Brandon.   There is Amanda, AM and ALL the various offspring Phillip created. Plus head of family means head of Spaulding.   I would have thought it interesting if Phillip becomes more like Alan (but in the gray area he always was, not outright cartoon villain RR Alan) and AM comes back with more of his Bauer coming out and wanting to do things on the up and up..maybe AM became a lawyer like his grandfather in the missing years...and Amanda could play both sides against the other.  But also they could have brought someone like Kyle Sampson back to rival Phillip and the Spaulding (maybe Amanda married him) but then, of course there would be ANOTHER man horning after long in the tooth Reva!
    • Those descriptions of Mary Carney-- from Michael Levin --were from a magazine article in the early 1980's. In the book, he did say all three Mary replacements were bad.

    • Sometimes you don't have friends as much as you have family. I'm trying to remember if Dylan really had a guy  friend. He and Mindy finally became friends after a rough introduction, and he interacts with Hart#1 and A-M#1, but I'm not sure they're really "friends". Maybe David. Whereas with Bridget, because there aren't a lot of Reardons around, gets friends like Kat and David.

    • There was something about her being kidnapped by a Professor (?) and then presumed dead when Judi Evans left. Then somehow she ends up with Neil Everest with amnesia and being mute. Beth Chamberlain doesn't say a thing for like her first three months on the show. I sort of agree that Phillip should've been head of the family. But there's not a lot of family for him to be "head" of. Unless they could've found a better recast for Alan, I'd have been okay with him dying earlier. What Phillip really needed was an equal rival. Whether it was in the family or outside the family. And other than Roger and the first go-round with VI as Lujack, he never really had one. I'm hesitant to call Chris Bernau's Alan a rival, but he certainly was a source of conflict in Phillip's life.
