I love your site Jason47, while I didn't watch DAYS I am fascinated by the in depth info you have and it has made me go back and find out more about Days. I am sure you have been asked this before, but where did you get all this info. I would love to have info like this for Y&R.

Stefano had given Marlena a drug that left her completely paralysed but with her mind intact as revenge for her doing the same to him earlier in the year. As Marlena lay there helpless (with Stefano adding the extra torture of leaving the antidote just out of reach believing there was no way Marlena could reach it as she was completely paralysed) Samantha appeared in a vision to encourage Marlena not to give up etc. And Samantha's encouragement was just what Marlena needed to slowly move her hand, grab the needle with the antidote and stab herself with it.

And of course Samantha also appeared to Marlena in the pit when Stella had trapped her there.

Gosh, I really do not remember that hospital lockdown story at all. I think that period was the pinnacle of me just not caring about Days at all.

Random question: was there ever any closure with Ian? Or did he just stop appearing? It was so random how he and Steph were together alllll the time, and then she just stopped mentioning him or seeing him. I guess she has had Caroline to mutter with, though...

Oh no Carl you read me wrong...Samantha didn't torment Marlena, Both times she was there to encourage Marlena to do what she needed to do.

IIRC in the pit Samantha told Marlena that DJ was with her and looked after and told Marlena she had the choice of going to heaven to be with DJ or staying alive but Marlena, knowing that DJ was being looked after by Samantha chose to stay alive.

During the hospital lockdown, Samantha was initially slightly hostile towards her sister and acted as Marlena's moral voice when she told Marlena off for leaving Stefano paralyzed. But once that lecture was over, Samantha advised her sister not to give up on John and most importantly said that she believed in her. Samantha's comfort and encouragement enabled Marlena to realise that she had the strength to reach the antidote (Being dead, Samantha wasn't able to physically intervene so Marlena had to do it herself).

Oh and in my earlier post I forgot to thank Jason47 for all his hard work. Thank you, it is very much appreciated!
