And a writing "note" for Darren, I don't think most people would say, "(Your dad's) dead", they'd at least be kind enough to soften it with, "He passed away."

You're talking about a 16 year old and I don't find it all that surprising that he was blunt/tactless enough not to soften the news by choosing different words

Perhaps you're right, but he isn't the first character I've noticed doing this. Maybe it's just a pet peeve of mine. Kind of like when people answer, "What?" instead of "Yes?"

People actually answer, "Yes?" That's odd.

 I actually use both... when my 4 year old niece says Auntie? I will answer Yes?... if my husband says Mrs Sleepy? I will say Yes? or What? depending on my mood at the time (towards him)

Now what my mom couldn't stand was the huh? when she called my name and I don't think I ever answer what? when she called my name.

The new Todd bumper was in the middle of show and had something like a newspaper with his picture and a headline that said "Villian." I wasn't expected to see it today, so I didn't get a really good look at it.

Todd's bumper included shot of THE SUN with headline villain yet it's a picture of Todd holding a gun to try and get Dani away from Ross.

The second shot is also newspaper headline and it reads HERO yet it's a picture of Todd after his suicide jump off Palace two years ago.

The finally shot is an old mug shot of Todd.

Lots of mixed messages there or TIIC think viewers will just read the villain vs hero message and not recognize the scenes content.

Brian Kerwin has a lot more chemistry with Kim Zimmer than he does Erika Slezak. If they were smart, they'd divorce Charlie and Viki and put them together. Have Viki get involved with Clint again. Speaking of Viki, I'm not crazy about this "friends" thing she and Dorian have going on with this story. They're always better as adversaries, the angrier the better.

KZ sure has been chewing up a lot of scenery the last few days. Talk about over-emoting me to death. BK was so much better than KZ in those scenes but I still find Charlie a foolish and useless male. I'd vote him and Echo off the island except then I might lose the delicous Viki and Dorian scheming together scenes which are rocking :-)

Tea name checked Tad Martin, that was fun. Todd being a top suspect for something is a bit repetitive.

Viki and Dorian on the same side is a good change from the usual.

Nora's reaction to Bo "sleeping" with Inez should be interesting. Bo is dense though, being a cop, he should have been more suspicious and gotten himself tested for drugs in his system, seeing as he can't remember anything about the previous night.

Why does he look drunk in the hero shot.

Todds bumper looks so cheap. All they did was film a bunch of newpapers with his picture in them.

Not at all! My dad is a "What?"-er but my mom was a firm "Yes?"-er and we got corrected every time we answered "What?" I think "Yes?" just has a nicer ring to it, not that I never answered "Yes?" with some 'tude. :P

I am curious about this whole Echo's got a drinking problem thing. It's feeling a little tacked on, like, "Hey, we got Zimmer, let's squeeze this orange for all its juice." And yes, what a horrible thing to say, but alcoholism seems a little passe  and I wonder if this is more of a set up for something bigger.

I actually like Todd's bumper, as I liked John's, but I thik Viki and Dorian deserve one before even one more cast member gets one.

I liked Todd's, too. I feel like they're hesitant to get Dorian and Viki's JUST right so they might be taking their sweet time.

I'd much rather see Echo making Gigi's life hell than some alcoholism story. Farah Fath works best when she's railing against some queen bitch as the underdog, IMO - and in short, controlled bursts, like what the Colonial Marines did in Aliens.

If they have that old routine again about Gigi punching someone to show how tough she is, I hope Echo knocks her through a wall.
